As I'm sure a lot of people on here are, a lot of the programs I'm applying to are all over the country. I have heard back from 3 schools and have no funding information. I'm wondering if others think it is worth it to attend the admitted student days/visit days/whatever else they are called. If I decided to attend any of these it would involve a flight and hotel room - do you guys think it's worth it to go sooner rather than later? I probably can't afford to go to a school that would require moving and out-of-state tuition if I don't receive some kind of financial aid so I'm not sure if I should visit until I know that information.
I got a call today that I was accepted, so I would guess everyone should hear in the near future. Also in case anyone is wondering, I asked (because I've been so confused with other schools) about financial aid, and I was told they send out that information separately in mid-March. Good luck!
I think most schools consider "full-time work experience" to be work experience after completing your degree.
I would probably say a combination of B and C, if you can.
I mean, if they told you that the decision was made and you know they were asking for transcripts, it's probably a good sign. Some of my programs assigned me various types of ID #s and required transcripts, but if they didn't ask for the transcripts until now, I would think it's likely you got in. I don't know though - everywhere is different! Can you have someone check the mail for you?
For me it's really funding, so I'm almost hoping one school gives me a ton of funding so I can say, "Okay, I'll go there!" haha, I have only heard from two schools so far and haven't received any aid information, though.
I'm currently applying to grad programs, and I assume you're looking for information from people who have already experienced this, but: my opinion is that it's really up to you. If it's important to you to be part of a certain type of community, then I think you should take it into consideration. You're going to living there for a certain number of years and you don't want to be unhappy.
I also received an acceptance to the Evans school but I didn't get any funding information either. I also reached out to the school and didn't receive a response. You would think they'd put in a FAQ or something since it seems like they are getting a lot of questions...
Thanks MJA87 for the info.
Best of luck everyone.
I've been accepted to two programs so far and I haven't received funding information from either of them. So yes, I'm in the same boat! I sent an email to one of the schools asking about it but I didn't receive a response...
Wait, they don't tell you about financial aid until after you've accepted the offer? How can you accept the offer without knowing how much it's going to cost?
