my grad coordinator was just told by SSHRC that mail would be sent out "early this week" and administration would be informed once that is done. so that might account for the mid may info.

Just accept the award if you have to. Deal with SSHRC when you win it.

I don't get it? why don't you just email them. you should have responded to the initial email right away thanking them. Don't wait another week. just ask.

hey all, has anyone applied to the English & Cultural Studies department at McMaster?

I'm planning to start a PhD program in the fall of 2010. My app has been sent to SSHRC but I am just wondering if they are as likely to give the award to a student who is just entering a program then a student who is already a year in?

sshrc confirmed that they had received my app, but over email?
