  1. Has anyone else had some trouble with the pre-departure report that we are to submit on the D.Ed IRIS page? Some of the things just don't seem to be working.
  2. Ditto here. My program director said that we'll be notified in a few weeks. I make sure to make contact with her at least once a week, so, if I hear anything, I'll pass it along.
  3. And if you hear anything, please post. My F-H coordinator has been known to let this stuff sit in her inbox for days, so if there's an announcement, I'm going to start the pestering immediately.
  4. I apologize! I didn't realize that you get email posts--evidently I don't have that feature. I'll keep my comments (after this one) to a minimum... good luck!
  5. Any news, anybody? It's April 15 (though I probably don't need to remind you)...
  6. Jenali, Thanks for the info. Good luck to you. And everyone, at the first sign of information--positive, negative, or neutral--be sure to post.
  7. Jenali, Do you know for certain that there's a week to go? If so, how do you know this? The Fulbright person at my school (who, I'll admit, isn't particularly with it) seems to have no idea when there will be news.
  8. Last year, there wasn't really an early rejection round. The "regret letters" were basically disqualifications for things like extended margins or some other mistake. I had a colleague who suffered this fate by choosing to use 3/4" margins, which they view as an unfair advantage.
  9. Yep, got my rejection today, and wasn't asked for transcripts. I can't say it's absolutely certain, but I would be surprised if those who were not asked for transcripts really are under serious consideration anymore. At any rate, whether you were asked or not, good luck!
  10. Sorry to hear that. I think this might just have confirmed our speculation that those who didn't receive transcript requests didn't receive them for a reason, which means I should be getting that thin, brief letter in the mail tomorrow as well. Guess there's still Fulbright-Hays. I'll try to remain optimistic till the end.
  11. Well, my theory has been debunked. Now I'm living on a prayer. As to OneStep's question, I don't think you'd be disqualified. I think they're intending the rule to apply to people who, for instance, might want to apply for an SSRC to extend a research trip funded by a Fulbright. But yeah, if you're not funded, there shouldn't be any difference--you're allowed to apply from wherever you want to.
  12. Anthropos: Yes, I had a colleague in that position, and this person was notified before the end of last semester. I can't say how many people experienced that, but we're still standing...for now. Good luck!
  13. I know they did a round of first cuts only a few weeks after the due date. So if you're still writing on this forum, you survived that. My guess is that they are requesting transcripts first from people who had courses in progress at the application date, so they can compile their grades. Then they'll do a round of cuts, and for those who are still in who haven't submitted transcripts, they'll do it then. Knowing the pace at which these things happen, my guess is that it'll take quite a while.
  14. On the application, I saw only about 15 slots for classes and grades, so I filled those out with the most relevant coursework. I had more to list. Did I miss some feature that allowed me to add extra courses?
  15. On my application, I noticed there were only about 15 slots for classes and grades. I didn't see an option to extend that list, so I filled it out with the most relevant classes only. Did I screw that part up or miss something?
