  1. Thank you! I got an email about a fellowship yesterday, and admission today. I'm curious to see who the other one is I'm sure that only a few got decisions thus far, so anyone else that applied still has a good chance.
  2. Who is the other Virginia admit?
  3. Do the thesis. If her concern is low completion rates, and you know you'll complete the thesis if tasked with it, then just prove she has nothing to be concerned about. A thesis always helps.
  4. I suspect next week is going to be a huge influx of decisions. With the general trend of schools releasing decisions early this year, I have a feeling that some schools may move them up from the second week of February to the first week.
  5. I was very surprised to see that, they were really nice to me.
  6. From the website, it seems unclear whether those scores are median or mean. If they are median, I agree totally. If they are the mean, then it's possible these numbers are skewed by a few outliers in one direction or the other.
  7. Thank you very much, and the email was from admissions, though I should emphasize that it was informal. There is no change in my online account either.
  8. I don't think you have cause to worry - the formal decisions were not sent. These were informal emails that were sent today.
  9. Who are the other Penn State admits? I can happily claim one of those admissions.
  10. I wish you the best of luck with the other 7 programs - I'm sure you'll find your way somewhere. I know Syracuse has a March 1 deadline and Columbia's MA in political science has an April 2 deadline. Columbia's QMSS program has a February 17 deadline.
  11. I'm in the same boat as you, @Khaari.
  12. Ok there's another Berkeley acceptance - anyone claim it?
  13. Mine still says submitted and I got no email - it feels likely I was rejected.
  14. I third the call for claiming the Berkeley acceptance. I looked on my application and it still just says "submitted" as its status. This is making me nervous.
  15. Congrats to the Northwestern and UNC-Chapel Hill admits! It also appears we have a Cambridge and a Rice acceptance this morning as well - congrats to all of you as well!
  16. I'm hoping Berkeley does it this week, but it seems next week is more likely.
  17. Berkeley, but Comparative. I did select Political Behavior as a secondary subfield though, which mostly Americanists work in.
  18. It appears that there are more UW-Madison acceptances! Congratulations to all of you! I didn't get such an email, so odds are not looking good for me, but that's okay. If I didn't get in, I know incredibly deserving people did.
  19. Congrats @needavacation! How exactly were you notified?
  20. When you put it that way, it's obvious I was really overthinking it. It doesn't appear Wisconsin sent out decisions today, nobody has updated the results page with any acceptances and the university only updates the website once a day.
  21. I hope - I noticed 2013-2015 acceptances are sent out the last monday of the month. However, I don't know if that means they'll wait until the 31st or if they will treat it like Thanksgiving (i.e. Thanksgiving is celebrated on the last Thursday of November, except if it's the last day of November) and release results tomorrow.
  22. Does anyone know when UW-Madison is going to be releasing decisions?
  23. Congrats to all OSU, UIUC, Stony Brook and UC Davis admits! To all else who haven't received an acceptance - hang in there, this is only the beginning!
  24. @Tyranitar It's interesting that you have a link to the decision. I got admitted, but it's not there. Is it only there when it's official?
  25. From past years, you'll likely hear from NYU, UCSD, and Penn State in the first week of February. UVA appears to release decisions in clusters throughout February and Toronto doesn't make decisions until March.
