  1. It's so frustrating! I was looking at past posts online, and some people haven't received decisions until December 7th. UCF's spring semester starts January 11th, so I don't understand how they can wait so long to give out decisions....
  2. No! I still have "no decision" online, and I still haven't received a decision from the other graduate school I applied to. What about you? My anxiety is so high with all of this uncertainty, lol..
  3. Mhm . It seems like schools on the East Coast, especially, get a high volume of applications, so it takes them longer to send all of the decisions. I applied to one school in the Midwest, and got my rejection letter within 3 weeks of the deadline probably because they had fewer applicants to review....
  4. Same! I'm still waiting to hear from my other grad school too. I called them on Tuesday, and was told my app was "still in review" there, but then someone else wrote online that they called, and were told decision letters were mailed on Monday, and I haven't received one, so I don't know what to think anymore, lol...& thank you! (:
  5. It's so annoying! I received one of those automated advertising e-mails from Graduate Admissions this morning, but no decision online either, ugh. Hope you're enjoying Thanksgiving!
  6. Someone else posted online that they got accepted this morning to UCF because it said "admitted" on their portal...mine still says "no decision" :\
  7. I understand! Mixed with some senioritis, I've been finding it super hard to concentrate on all of the end of the semester work because I'm so on edge with getting the rest of my spring decisions; it's so nerve wrecking because your life can change at any point. It's hard because I would move forward more with my fall apps, but I do really want to get in for the spring, and I don't want to waste all of my time until I receive the rest of my spring decisions; ugh. I'm hoping I get at least 1/2 of my decisions before Thanksgiving to put me at a little more ease...
  8. Awesome! I ask because my college is closed on Wednesday, and the other graduate school I'm waiting to hear from is also closed on Wednesday, so I wasn't sure if UCF is closed too. Maybe we'll hear Wednesday then too. A lot of my Fall schools I would apply to are on that centralized CSDCAS server, so I just requested all of my transcripts and GRE scores last week to be sent. I know that'll take a while to be fully processed though. I also updated all of the professors who wrote me recommendation letters that I might need my letters for the Fall, so they're prepared to upload them, if needed. Other than that though, I haven't done much else. I have to work on filling out more of the CSDCAS app soon though. What about you?
  9. Same! Is UCF open on Wednesday? Maybe we'll get some decisions then too? I know UCF is a big school too, so I'm not sure how long it takes for graduate admissions to send decisions out from the departments too. When I applied to UCF, it took them 10 days to process my application about submission...
  10. Nope! The other school has sent out two waves of acceptances already. My application there has been in a final review for at least 2 weeks now, and they told me I would receive a decision by the "end of November", which we're nearing, so I'm not sure. The school e-mails you for acceptances, and sends you a letter in the mail for rejections, so I'm not sure. If I don't hear anything by tomorrow, I'm going to call the school again, and see if they have any updates. From past discussion boards, it seems like in some years, they send out acceptances the Tuesday before Thanksgiving (which is tomorrow), so maybe I'll hear some good news tomorrow; otherwise, I'm not sure.
  11. My portal still says "no decision", so I don't know anymore, lol ughhh. Maybe we'll hear some good news tomorrow??
  12. Even other people online have said they haven't heard anything though, so maybe they'll start to send out all of the decisions after Thanksgiving?? I guess if I don't hear anything by next Tuesday, I'll try to e-mail the chairperson in the department (who I need to look up online lol). Every time I call graduate admissions, no one picks up the phone at UCF. It's really frustrating...
  13. Ugh, no! It still says no decision online for me -_-. I haven't heard anything...UCF's spring semester starts January 11th too, so if I even get in here, I'll need some time to just pack up my life to go here from New York. I'm still waiting to hear from another school too, and it's driving me crazy. What about you??
  14. Around the same; I'm going to apply to 4 in New York, 1 in Pennsylvania, and 1 in Virginia; mostly private though. Where I live in New York, there are more private schools than public universities near my town, unfortunately. The closest public university with our masters to where I live at home is the school I currently attend for undergraduate, but I don't want to attend the same school as my undergrad for masters, if I can. I've had a reasonably decent experience here with professors and classes, but I want a change of scenery, lol.
  15. Ughh; do you know how many schools you want to apply to for the fall, if you have to re-apply?
  16. Ugh . I received a third rejection yesterday, so now I'm still waiting to hear from UCF and another school. I also started working on my fall apps, in case I don't get into these remaining two schools I'm waiting to hear from. So frustrating...
  17. Have you heard any updates about when UCF is maybe giving out more decisions?
  18. Awesome! Thank you! If I receive any notification of a decision too, I'll let you know.
  19. I totally empathize with waiting to hear from schools still! I'm still waiting to hear from 4 schools. One of my schools said they'll send out decisions by the end of next week, so I'm hoping these other schools will do the same/send out decisions before Thanksgiving...it's very frustrating though, especially as some of the schools I applied to are out-of-state, so there are additional factors to consider then.
  20. Wow, congrats to her! & ughhh, no, I still haven't heard anything! I checked the portal and my e-mail too, and nothing is there. What about you? I know tomorrow's Veteran's Day (I don't know if UCF is open, even though it's a federal holiday? My college is), so I'm assuming no decisions will be sent out tomorrow, and the ASHA convention begins the day after, so I guess I won't hear anything until at least next week...
  21. Mhm! I wish there was a universal deadline for Spring decisions to go out because that would make everything so much easier...
  22. Me too! The school I interviewed at today said they'll send decisions within the next two weeks. One of my schools told me they'll send my decision by late November, and another school I applied to hasn't given me any updates either, so I have to call them too. The only decision I received was a rejection two weeks ago. I'm hoping next week, I'll get some decisions; maybe we'll both hear from UCF next week. It's frustrating because I do plan to apply for Fall 2016, if I don't get accepted anywhere for the Spring, but I really wanted to receive all of my decisions from the Spring before starting those apps...
  23. Mhm! It's so unfortunate that having a high GPA and even high GRE scores truly don't guarantee you an acceptance. I think if I don't hear anything by the middle of next week, I might e-mail or call the chairperson of the department at UCF, and ask for an update on my application status, especially since some people have received rejections anyway.
  24. Ah; then yeah, probably not the GRE then. I think on UCF's website too, they said they accept GRE scores near the 50th percentile anyway, so those scores are fine! I'm not sure then why those people got rejected then, but graduate admissions are so unpredictable....that's frustrating though
