I am wondering if anyone has heard back from Upenn for PhD? It is my top choice and while I know it is super competitive, I am eager to hear back. I know other programs at Penn have started to hear responses so I am curious if anyone for art history has heard anything!

Hi Everyone, I am new to this thread! I hold a BA in Religion & Classical Studies from Concordia University and am in the process of completing my MA in Ancient History at McGill University. I tend to look at religion and art in the Roman (and sometimes Egyptian and Greek) world. As well as political art and how it was used as a means of propaganda in the Roman empire. I applied to 7 schools: Upenn, Hopkins, Cornell, Yale, BostonU, UofToronto & Penn State. I am hoping to hear something soon, starting to lose my mind. Have people started to hear much?

Wondering if there are other souls out there! I hope (if this reaches any of you) we can try to inform each other when we begin to hear responses and or see change in our applications. As of now, I know that my application is under review at the University of Toronto. I have seen no change on my applications to Yale, BostonU, Cornell, Upenn, PSU & Hopkins. Good luck to us all

Yeah- I submitted the 14th of December and I am sitting here refreshing every day to see if there is a change. I am playing the world's smallest violin for myself.

I am wondering if any of you know if the status of your application for schools like Upenn changes from 'Ready for review' to 'under review' when they actually begin looking at it? Or does it remain the same?

Does anyone know if Art History has a thread?

GRE scores are beginning to be matched with applications. I have no idea what to do with my life now other than to keep refreshing to make sure all my documents are there and that the scores have arrived. Is it February yet?

I am now 100% submitted!! Already stressed and trying to find new methods of coping to not be glued to my computer every day. Applied to UPenn, Cornell, Yale, Boston U, PSU, Toronto, and Hopkins. Penn is my top choice but really just hoping that one school says yes! I hope a Ph.D. in Art History is where I am headed!

Totally understand!! Applying to 7 schools (UPenn being my top choice) and I am beyond stressed. My deadlines are all coming up in December and January!
