Hey lindzzz, One of my references (clinical) is also outstanding at the moment. I contacted ORPAS and they said it is taking them a while to process all of the incoming documentation due to high volume mails. Hopefully the status of documents gets updated soon!

Hey guys, Is there any way to verify if your references have been received by ORPAS before submitting your application or will this information be made available only after submitting the application?

Thanks speechies! I'll be working with children in September and volunteer in a voice clinic as well. Hopefully I'll be able to get some experience working with adults too. Crossing my fingers that I'll be able to get a substantial number of hours before the deadline. Your volunteer experience is amazing! Good luck on your application

I'm freaking out too! I'm only planning on applying to schools in Ontario (Uoft and Western). I'm mostly worried about gaining clinical experience. Currently, I don't have any but I'm planning on getting some volunteer hours in September - pretty close to the January deadline. Thankfully, my sub-GPA is good (3.97) but my overall GPA is 3.70. Does anyone know what my chances of getting into SLP are like by having a good sub GPA but not a lot of volunteer experience? If I were to just have the minimum (14 hours of volunteering) would that still make for a strong application? Any help/comments would be appreciated!
