I know it can be difficult to be accepted to a Political Science Ph.D. program. However are there some programs where it is easier to be accepted than others? What universities would you recommend? I'm trying to locate some "safety" schools! My Scores: V 155 Q 153

I was accepted to Kent State in February. The letter I received stated that I would receive more information regarding my acceptance later and there was no information on funding included. Has anyone else been accepted to Kent State and hasn't heard anything about funding either? Also, I saw someone post on the results page that they have been accepted with funding. If that person is here, can they tell me if that was listed on their original acceptance letter or if the funding information arrived later?

I'm interested in applying to Kent State's PhD in Political Science program. The program website states that it is "selective." Doe anyone know how selective it actually is? How many applicants are accepted each year?
