  1. They were all sent out. I received a call from POI on Feb 1st. Official days are Feb 26th and Mar 4th. A lot of interviewees couldn't make it to the days, so they have Mar 1st as an alternative date.
  2. Harvard doesn't have official interview days. POI will probably schedule a skype/phone interview with you if s/he is interested.
  3. They have already sent out interview invitations. I received a phone call from POI 2 weeks ago (Feb 1st). Their official interview days are Feb 26th and Mar 4th. But I can't make it to any of them (some people are in the same situation), so they scheduled me on Mar 1st.
  4. Hey Samiksha, I'd encourage you to still retake the GRE. It is mostly likely that the scores would be available in 10 days and delivered to the schools immediately after you have requested the orders. Also, most programs do not require the GRE to be delivered by the deadline for the main application. Good luck
  5. It wouldn't be late if the ddl is Jan 15th...It usually takes only a week to have your grades posted on the website. As long as you send out your scores right after the scores are available on the website, i think you would be fine.
  6. There is nothing absolute about the GRE. A lot of people got into top programs with relatively low or average GRE scores. It is said that top programs care less about the GRE than average programs. However, I do think that the higher the better, whether these programs care much about the scores or not (because you have no means to know whether they indeed don't care that much). I'd say that they pretty much use GRE scores as the initial cut-off. What really sets the deal is your research experience and your academic interests. But I do think that your verbal might be too low to pass the initial cut-off if you want to apply to top schools like MIT and Stanford.
  7. To answer your main question -- no, you definitely don't need any pub to get into a decent social psych program. Just show that you can think critically and independently about psychological research and have a mature idea about what you want to study in grad school -- this is enough I think. Your research experience definitely helps show your strength in conducting research, so it is pretty good! I'd say that your overall GPA is a bit low but otherwise your profile is pretty solid. Maybe you can retake the GRE to improve your quant a little bit, if you have time -- but it is not necessary. Good luck
