Well it's official, I am going to MIT in the fall! I was really going back and forth between MIT and Wisconsin MDTP, but overall decided MIT was the one. Anybody else on here going to MIT microbiology??

Yeah looking at apartments is kind of scary, especially because I live in a very cheap part of the country right now. It will be worth it though, I hope.

I don't know if this will be helpful for anybody asking about Columbia, but I interviewed with their Biological Sciences umbrella program last year. I went to their first interview weekend that was at the end of January and didn't hear a single thing from them until I was rejected months later at the end of March. I just assumed I was rejected and didn't bother emailing or calling because I didn't like the program anyways. So I don't know if that is how they always do things, but that was my experience with them.

Got accepted to University of Wisconsin Madison microbiology program. So excited to be going to graduate school!

Congratulations! What program? I just visited Madison last week for their micro program, it's a cool place. Keeping my fingers crossed I get an offer too
