  1. Just in time?? wait isn't it still the 14th???
  2. Hey! I was well above the limit at about 1100 words but then came across this threatening story about an application being rejected for having too many words and then cut it down to size. It's about 790 words now!
  3. How did you find out about the other people who have been admitted? Could you link me to the thread? Although it will probably only make me more nervous haha.
  4. Wait! So whom do you get the proof of past schooling in English from? I've only ever studied in English my entire life. Man this is all so stressful! And yeah, it's all so expensive.
  5. Hey! I knowww! I am freaking out myself! If things work out we may be classmates haha. There's hardly anything online about the IHEID applications. It's all pretty much general stuff. Which stage of the application are you at?
  6. Hello! I am from India too! Only I am applying for the MIA. I'm so glad that people have replied! I am done with almost everything, just finalizing the people to recommend me and also, my scholarship application! Which stage are you at?
  7. Hey! I am applying for the MIA at IHEID! I am rather confused regarding my recommendations though. Don't know whether the person who writes my recommendation matters very much! I am hoping to get done by the 15 November slot. So nervous! Do the scholarship decisions come out post March itself? Additionally, is it based primarily on financial need? Do you have any ideas of the profiles of people who have been accepted by IHEID on full merit scholarships for the MIA? Thanks !
  8. Hi Everyone, I am currently in the process of applying for the MIA at IHEID. I will be applying for full funding, I would be happy with just living expenses though. I am looking for people who are also applying for the same program and also those who have applied earlier and been accepted with full scholarship. In addition, I had the following queries; 1. How much does the letter of recommendation matter? Does it have to be by a well known scholar in the field of International Relations? or is it alright if it is just someone who has worked with you and knows your competencies on a personal level? 2. Does the scholarship application depend primarily on financial need? Do they give out scholarship applications with the early bird admissions decisions or do we all have to wait till march? 3. The GRE isn't a prerequisite for the MIA degree is what I have gathered but I would like to be informed otherwise if mistaken. 4. I am also looking for someone to get nervous with me (lol). Do reach out if you read this and are in a similar situation!
