  1. Happy to help folks out and update the data they post here. I don't get on here much, but I'll check in every now and then for the next few weeks to add any new stats that are shared. Congratulations to all that got the good news yesterday!
  2. Happy to help out update it with the information from folks accepted this application cycle. Congratulations to everyone that was accepted!
  3. Appreciate the shout out, @TabTurbo. Happy to help out folks as best I can! I recently finished putting in all the 2021 data I could find, so it is "complete" . This community is amazing, and so helpful when going through this process! Lean on each other and help each other is the best advice I can give. Feel free to message me if you want to and I'm happy to talk with any of you about anything! Good luck, no matter where the journey takes you!
  4. Wanted to thank each and every person here that was/is so supportive to one another during this process! Even though the results I got weren't what I wanted, so grateful for this community in general. Planning to help future applicants by updating the admissions data that I helped updated from the work that @graciasadios started. If those that were admitted to HGSE for this year are willing to share their stats, that would be very helpful t me doing this. So proud of all of you, and can't wait to see the amazing work that you all will accomplish!
  5. Sadly a rejection for me. Congrats to everyone that got in! Happy for each and every one of you!
  6. Just wanting to concur with everything others have said above. It has truly been a joy and honor to be on this journey with you all these last few months (and in a few cases like me, even longer than a few months). Whatever happens, whatever decisions are made by HGSE, by other schools, and by us individually, I have great faith in us individually and collectively. I eagerly look forward to seeing all that we can and will accomplish!
  7. Reading this reminded me of the lyrics from this song.... "Hoping for the best but expecting the worst" Alphaville - Forever Young ~Official Video - YouTube Enjoy a little music as we wait. Good luck to us all!
  8. Echoing all this....really hoping we hear today!
  9. Thank you for doing this! Makes me smile and gives me hope that there will be news today!
  10. Just logged in to check and see if anything is posted there. Don't see a decision letter....guessing later this weekend some time then. Passing along the info for all here.
  11. One reason that comes to mind is that is when they have the automatic email system set up to send it so they don't have to worry about it. Though Also sending it it the middle of the night keeps all of us from calling their office at the same time since they won't be there. ? Either way, hoping they decide to send it out tonight.
  12. Welcome! Glad you're here with us! Fingers crossed for good news and to see you at HGSE in the fall! ?
  13. Exciting to hear this! Thank you for the inside info! As an aside, in past years HGSE will post the decisions on the application portal before the emails are sent out. Usually only by a few minutes, but it will be up that way so all decisions will be posted when the emails go out. Good luck to everyone!
  14. Also would be curious to hear this, if they are willing to share.
  15. Awesome! Looks like a great list of folks there! I haven't looked at them all, but Dr. Anthony Jack, Dr. Francesca Purcell, Dr. Mandy Savtiz-Romer, Dr. Richard Weissbourd, and Dr. Ola Ozernov-Palchik all are interesting to me! I also would love to be in the class with the do-be announced President-In-Residence for the Higher Ed Concentration. So many amazing faculty, hard to pick even a handful!
  16. That sounds awesome! Thank you so much for sharing! Love hearing someone has a similar interest, with a slightly different twist on it! Any particular professors you're hoping to take a class from, @penguinvibes?
  17. I applied to HDE with a concentration in Higher Education. I'm interested in how students in higher education environments learn/grow/develop outside of the formal classroom setting. I also have an interest in social class identity development in college students. What kinds of things are you interested in, @penguinvibes?
  18. I applied to HDE! There are definitely a few of us around here. ?
  19. Hoping the good news comes soon for us all! Definitely is strange since I was so sure HGSE would've told us on Friday, yet here we are still waiting. No matter what, appreciate all of you here in GradCafe! This journey so far has been amazing because of each of you, and I look forward to the rest of the journey regardless of the decision from HGSE for each of us. Rooting for the decisions to be released as soon as possible!
  20. Just tried to look at it and it now says "Video Unavailable: This Video is Private" Looks like they now have it as a private video. Guess we will just have to wait for the link in our acceptance letters ?
  21. Thank you for the update and the exciting news! Would you be willing to share the list of virtual dates/times that you can see from your end there? I tried logging in and was only able to get the FAQ sheet (Tried the other link but I don't have a HarvardKey).
  22. Thanks for calling and asking! Definitely does take the pressure off for now. Just have to wait and see when the news comes our way.
  23. Wishing everyone good vibes and good luck today! It has been a roller coaster so far on this journey, and I'm glad I've been able to be on this ride with all of you. Fingers crossed for each and every one of us here, and hoping we all get to see one another on Appian Way for Fall 2021 semester! Edit: Just logged in to check and see if there was anything on the application page. No update there yet (though it is early, I know). Still hoping for the good news here soon!
  24. Thank you for this analysis! I think you're assumptions are pretty spot on! I do think this year will be an outlier overall for a few other reasons, including that HGSE isn't enrolling any students in the Ph.D., Ed.L.D., or any of the teacher prep/programs that result in obtaining a license (counseling, some of the school leadership folks, etc.). Add in COVID, and it is a lot to sort through! In the end, it'll be interesting to see where things shake out. Hopefully we'll have admissions decisions from HGSE on Friday (but seems like even that norm my be disrupted from what others have mentioned elsewhere here).
