Yes, I know for a fact that all the schools reimburse you the same (i.e. as much as they would anyway), no matter whether you visit during official days or at another time.

Yeah, as someone who has been wait-listed at Stanford and dreams of Stanford the fact that the official visit is so late is really painful Well, hopefully some accepted people are going to visit earlier, alongside/together with other campus visits? If you're worried about making a last-minute decision, both for yourself and for other people waiting, perhaps you could do the same.

Ahh very high on the Stanford wait-list, and this has always been my definite #1 choice!!! So happy Also, please please if you know you won't go there but have been admitted decline as soon as you can! (I know it's not easy.)

Apply to schools that are varied ranking-wise, not just to the ones you think you can get into - often, I've found already several times in my life, better programs might accept you while worse programs will not.

I've got half-question half-rant: What do the international students do about booking flights to the US for campus visits if they haven't yet heard back from all their schools, but the flights' prices keep going up (and the schools that replied early want to know asap when exactly you're visiting)? Ughh.

Actually, I'm v. disappointed that prof. Boyle is leaving Harvard for Chicago (official news since Jan). That reduces the number of Kantian scholars at H. by 50%...
