Thanks for the input! It's super helpful as I'm applying as an international student. The USC program really appealed to me. One of the big reasons being that the NYU and Columbia programs are part of the School of Professional Studies. What are your opinions on the Schools of Professional Studies (especially at Columbia being an Ivy), compared to USC's program being part of a specific field school/department. Also, I've been in touch with Columbia and they've informed me they've changed the curriculum for 2016 to allow for electives from different schools such as the business school. It hasn't been published yet, but I'm interested to see what changes they've made.

USPS is more terrible than usual during this time of the year. Add on at least an extra 2 weeks on top of the usual delivery period. I'm from Aus, and sent something in Nov 25. It still hasn't made it to the American address I sent it to.

Thanks JR, I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens then! EdNeuroGrl, I had no idea the whole application process would be so intense and long! I'm from Australia and our application process is nothing like this at all. It doesn't seem as competitive as the States from what I've been researching and reading. I just want to know, too! It's one thing to move to a different state, but to move to another country on the other side of the world, it's going to be a task. Christmas and New Year comes and goes so quickly. You'll be receiving acceptance letters before you know it

That's a good point! I keep looking at my essays and making changes to them. I'm just being pedantic now. Have you got long to wait to find out?

Does anyone know much about the MS in Communications Practice @ Columbia, MS in PR & Corporate Communication at NYU or MA in Strategic PR at USC? I'm applying as an international student, so there's only so much research I can do online. Online, they seem to be pretty well-established programs, but would love to hear the thoughts/opinions of people that live in the US.

Just wondering... Are there any benefits to submitting early? My deadlines are December & January.
