  1. @NeuroMetro I considered that but is that even possible? That is a really good idea, I am 3 years out of college so I do feel a bit rushed in making the commitment soon as well
  2. @braaains i know I don't know if not being told yet is good/bad! I just am not really that excited/looking forward to the choice I have and I don't know if I can "make it work" for 6 years you know? I asked the admin last week, like if it is a no I just want to know at this point.. @NeuroMetro I am so happy to hear that, I hope that things become easier for you
  3. do any of you feel like you may commit to a school knowing your first/top choice has still waitlisted you? what is your plan? #askingForAFriend #me
  4. @NeuroMetro I really want to go into neuroprosthetics or like BMIs/BCIs/ neurorehabilitation, I do feel at a disadvantage with no engineering background and it just keeps seeming like all the potential labs I would want to work in have no room/funding/projects but then people tell youto choose the mentor not the science
  5. @toen THANK YOU, I will most likely (Definitely) reach out to you this week
  6. @NeuroMetro I am so sorry to hear that, that is a big fear of mine--if I move away,,, I have good option at Pitt! but then someone told me that maybe I should consider getting masters in engineering....basically I am questioning everything. you?
  7. @ChrisTOEFert Thanks so much for that, I honestly didn't know how candid I could be with my current top choice program from the ones that admitted me! I found some reddit thread that made the whole thing seem really daunting
  8. @braaains of the schools I interviewed at yes! it is so beautiful too, but now I am just worried like if they don't tell us yes/no by 4/15, what happense? :-/
  9. thank you for starting this thread, i am so afraid of committing by april 15 and then coming off a wait list, what are you guys gonna do? waitlisted at USC!
  10. Congratulations on your acceptances to Davis and WashU! I was just wondering if anyone else was put on some sort of waitlist before the interviews of a specific program? I was notified I was on a wait list after this school sent out some rejections but also after they sent interview invites. Not many people turn down interviews so now I am just like hello from the other side
  11. I don't know your interests but my friend just became a professor there! She is I think clinical psych technically (does research on suicide)--her name is Dr. Cassie Glenn and is an amazing human.
  12. Thanks for asking that/and posting here, I am in same boat! so at least I know
  13. @theNormalONE Yea I feel like I saw rejections from there a few weeks ago? I think they have interviews like next weekend and the following 2 as well!
  14. I go there next weekend but I do know they have 3 interview weekends?
  15. @northernchild hold out hope for BU! my friend didn't hear from then until January 29th last year
  16. I also really like the USC program @daniolabtest @jargs ! I wonder if the invites would be scatter or all yesterday if they have so many weekends?
  17. My friend heard from BU last year on January 29th!! So late but this might mean no one will hear until the very end of Jan---keep hopes up!
  18. @brainsbrainsbrainsbrains similarly, I have no courage to actually ask WashU
  19. search "neurosciences" or "san diego"! another entry says they will send out tomorrow
  20. thanks @bdnf_13.1 ! by email? I did see that too-some were from the joint NIH program
  21. @Edotdl I applied to CNS too! I just creeped and in years past it looked like people heard around 1/15
