Still says submitted. I was told it would be about a week before I would receive an emailed formal acceptance, graduate school willing.

I'm one of the Illinois Urbana-Champaign interviews. Spoke to the POI today and was told I would be recommended for admission. It is a huge relief to receive that first acceptance, as expected.

In 2014 the first contact was 1/14, in 2012 it was 1/12. They appear to be one of a handful of programs to have a two-week turnaround. Regardless, haven't heard yet myself.

Adding my dice to the crapshoot that is the PhD admissions process. I have applied or will apply to 11 programs with a focus on political behavior. Current master's student with a 3.94 GPA, my undergrad GPA hurts at 3.08. 163V/160Q/5.5AWA. Best of luck to all.
