(1) The email is formulaic with no specific info on funding etc; I don't see the logic of taking hours to send out these general emails (2) Admitted students got the email at the same time (3) In the past two years, almost all offers are out on the same day (4) Just like you, I hope that Princeton is still sending out offers; I do not see a point that is worth arguing
-
Chill.
-
Thanks for the information. Then I would say all offers are already out.
-
I wonder if these admits receive offers at the same time or not
-
I feel that all Princeton offers will be out by tomorrow.
-
Another Princeton admit..
-
I think (1) Princeton will send out all the offers either today or tomorrow, and (2) the person on the survey page heard from his POI, and (3) not receiving any email right now means that you are either accepted or rejected, since the WLs are out.
-
My observation re: Princeton last year 1) Most offers are out in the first wave of emails 2) Second wave is mixed with WL and a few offers 3) Second wave is almost simultaneous with the third wave of emails (which are rejections)

A quiet Tuesday so far

Which Master's Programs should I aim for with a sub-3.0 gpa?
s1994 replied to Ingo93's topic in Political Science Forum
With such a GPA, it is hard to get into a reputable master program. So even though you ace all your master classes, it would still be hard for you to gain a lot of credentials simply because your undergrad GPA is too low and the master program is not as reputable as, say CIR (Chicago) or Jackson (Yale). A good strategy is to get your Ph.D. from a relatively low-ranked DC school so that the department won't care too much about your undergrad GPA and you can have the network to get a great job from government/NGO instead of academia with your degree once you graduate. -
Oh I got an email earlier today with schedule & reimbursement info etc. I am planning to book the ticket ASAP since I do not get a lot of reimbursement for my domestic flyout

UCSD admits, when do you guys plan to arrive on/leave campus for the open house?
-
WashU should be soon. Didn't apply to UW, but it seems like it's also either this or next week
-
I almost posted something similar after I saw the original post and then my computer died. Let's call it a day!
-
So a big week starts with a quiet Monday!
-
It's THE date: Political Science --> Comparative literature Ph.D. forum
-
Having one offer in hand feels so good
-
I got in ucsd as well! Really generous funding.
-
By "just", do you mean you just got the email? Or did you just check your emails?
-
Chicago didn't send out rejections until March last year. Duke hasn't sent out rejections either. It's pretty normal.
-
My guesses are: Michigan~90% UCSD~100% (should be a chunk of acceptances mixed with a few rejects/WL) WashU~80% Columbia~50% Cornell~50% Stanford~50% Princeton~70% Yale~20%
-
I think so -- The DGS can't call 30-50 people in a day, or even a week
-
It really just depends on the POI. However, if you see a wave of rejects/acceptances on the survey page -- That probably signifies that the department has sent out these formulaic (yet formal!) decisions
-
Who's the UCSD admit? I still haven't heard anything ...

So it's a (relatively) quiet Friday lol
