In 2017 the notice was posted on 2 days in advance by 230pm.

I don't think anyone expected that, but they could have said "mid-April" if the weather/shutdowns were as significant as other people had speculated.

I asked if we would find out before decisions had to be made April 15th and this is the response I got back.

I wish I had known about the NSF GRFP because I learned about it about 3 weeks before and threw an application together real quick, but if I had more time it could have been a whole lot stronger. But I haven't gotten a rejection yet, so that keeps me going.
