  1. I received a funding package (stipend and tuition waiver), with a travel allowance each year for a phd program. If I continue to pay the interest on my student loans I will be struggling to make it with my current expenses. Has anyone applied for scholarships while in their funded phd program? Do you have to report your funding package? I think it will look selfish to say my tuition is paid for, but I still want more. Working outside of being an RA isn't an option while I'm in this program, and I refuse to take out more student loans. Finding small scholarships that would pay something toward the university fees would allow me to continue paying interest on my undergrad student loans. Has anyone else attempted this?
  2. I work for a small company. So I told my employer that I was applying and that I would keep her updated on acceptances/rejections. My employer has been honest with me over the past year, so I wanted to return the favor. She has been supportive about the process over all.
  3. My school hadn't made decisions as of March first. My POI said they still had to determine how many spots were available. I was told that he would let me know when decisions had been made. So I'm still waiting. I know it's hard, but probably best to not email. Did your POI say he/she would let you know?
  4. That makes me wish I had made a LinkedIn acct. I've been in touch with the professor I hope to work with. He told me at the beginning of this month that "powers that be" are determining how many spots will be available. Shouldn't they have done that already? Seems like they take their time.
  5. When I started this process I wasn't sure I wanted to leave my job and current lifestyle for graduate school. However, the longer I wait, the more certain I become that I need this opportunity to earn a phd. It's madness.
  6. Anyone in here apply to behavior analysis programs? I've seen every other type of psychology person. Where are the behavior people?
