Yeah to be honest it seems like anyone's guess at this point! I'm also hoping it is Monday but I know there were a lot of school closures all over the east coast last week because of the storm and perhaps Yale was actually delayed in reviewing the applications, in which case it might be Friday or even later. Last year there was a bunch of snow too though... Im rooting for Monday!

I think it's going to be under the "recent activities" title, above application checklist.... if anyone has anything other than payment received, then please do tell I did not apply last year, so I'm not really sure.

yup same here! Perhaps some people have an interview status while the rest say submitted... or perhaps it's another night!? UGHHHHH

haha yeah I was thinking about that.... I would love to go to yale so much but I don't know if i could afford transporting my really heavy/ kind of big work there. I mean I would do it but it would probably cost me at least 500 and i would need a partner

we will find out soon enough I suppose, I think we've all looked through the forums enough haha.... many posts refer to it but one post I am thinking of specifically from maybe last year said that a girl called them and asked and the representative said 11 that night... which would Connecticut time zone.

don't be so worried, call them on monday and they'll sort it out. I'm sure its fine! SMFA is very understanding.

got an email from CalArts telling me to apply for financial aid--- ughhh I thought it was going to be better news ! Did all of you CalArts app people get that? I'm assuming yes and that it doesn't actually mean anything.

I would assume in 1.5 hours... who knows for sure but New haven is in my time-zone

Yeah I'm guessing all of ours do now. Eh it was worth a shot to see, but it looks like there aren't really any clues for the Yale app. and I guess perhapppps in a another week or two the Columbia apps may or may not change to reflect MFA/ not but again, might not mean much.

Mines the same exact way, dont sweat it, I think its just a difference and doesn't mean that anything is wrong with the app! Haha but I definitely feel you, I need to stop examing these so much. I've convinced myself that my Columbia slides are all rearranged but actually now I'm thinking that I must have decided to switch it up.

Oh that's good! I actually didn't know you could have official transcripts personally, I thought they had to be mailed by the school in order to be official, good to know!

Very true, it is very early. the wait is very real.

I'm not sure actually whether it was in slideroom or not. If it was then I guess it couldn't offer any insight on Yale. For Rutgers I believe they want both! I sent my transcripts a month ago, it usually takes a few weeks for your school to even send them, depending. I uploaded digital transcripts for most schools and mailed them only to 4 or 5 schools that I saw specifically wanted mailed copies too, so I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have mailed it to Rutgers unless I saw it somewhere, but maybe I'm wrong. Either way schools are pretty lax about getting late transcripts

Hahaha thats exactly what I'm wondering. Honestly, I don't think there's anything to take away from that. According to forums from last Year Columbia had some funny business with whether the "MFA" was still present or not. Columbia added the 'MFA' part when they started reviewing, and then it would seem that they removed it as they decided against the applicant. who knows. Yale and Columbia seem to have the same kind of application but i doubt they handle them the same way.

alright y'all, i know this may be completely confusing: For those of us who may have checked the forum in other years it seemed like Columbia changed their status according to whether you were still being considered or not by simply taking out the MFA after visual art in the application status. I don't know if that's actually what they do or not but the people who said they still had MFA in their title actually did get accepted so... anyone's status change? In no way would that be a formal rejection or interview invite, but maybe I guess it could mean something? Yale kind of looks like its the same application type, did anyones change there either?

Last year's deadline was Jan 7 2015. Yep I'm getting a little obsessive its sad that I knew that. Tell me I am not the only person checking their app status every day? I definitely need to chill but its so close! By the way, the app status we will need to check is just in the application link, correct? The status which currently reads "submitted"?

you should definitely just call them and talk to a person in admissions. It would suck if your app wasn't reviewed because it was incomplete, but that being said I think it is pretty normal for transcripts and recommendations to be processed a little late and most schools will review the portfolio without those on time. If I were you I would totally call though and make sure! Its easy to ignore emails.

Understandable for sure! The low-res program at SAIC looks pretty stellar, I thought maybe there was something else about it that I might not know though. Good luck!
