    Sorry to hear that!

Did you guys see that the Clinton Fulbright has been removed from the main Fulbright website where we applied? I'm freaking out a bit... Could they have canceled the program?

So this is just a guess, but I think it at least means they won't be offering it 2018/19. I'm in the same boat with a different grant—it disappeared when they updated the website now that the 2018/19 application cycle is open. I'm hoping that it doesn't mean they are cancelled this year, but it's hard to know. I think we'll just have to wait it out, as stressful as that is.

That would certainly explain the long wait...I reaaaaalllyyyyyy hope they send something out today. I'm going to lose my marbles if I have to wait another weekend. Was it the Archival research award that was suspended? I see that award has an asterisks in place of award on the fulbright statistics page.

I think that one just has * because it hasn't been offered before so they don't have previous data. I don't know if the one I applied for is suspended by Fulbright, just by the school, so I'm waiting to hear from them

Ah best of luck to you! I am hoping today is the day.

Today will be the day. I'm going to manifest it!

I hope so! But I'm afraid Ireland applicants may be waiting a bit longer.

I applied for one of the specific degree program grants and the program has been suspended from the school's side. I heard this directly from the school and haven't heard from Fulbright on whether or not they plan to find another way to run the grant.

But since it seems the country results come out all together, part of the wait may be due to the commission having to figure out that issue.

Hey all!  I'm an applicant to the Spain ETA program this year.  Does anyone know by any chance what percentage of applicants get through round 1, meaning New York, but then get rejected by the host country?  I think I saw somewhere that the first cut is the most rigorous.  Can anyone confirm this? Thanks!

I can only speak from personal experience, but I applied last year as well — made it through round 1, but then wasn't selected as grantee or alternate (this was a study/research grant with only one spot, like many of them). I think this implies that (at least in some cases) the US sends on several people and the host country determines finalist and alternate. Again, just my experience.

Ahh this is scary ! I had submitted mine already but now I am going to double check. In general, has anyone had any luck with Fulbright un-submitting an application before the deadline I don't have an FPA ? After I submitted I realized there were changes I wanted to make and  now I'm freaking out a bit in my head.  :(

Also thanks to Horb and Satori for the support !

I'm not sure if this would apply to the primary app, and not sure if it was only because of the server issue, but embark tech support did help me with un/resubmitting the supplementary materials

  6. Are any arts applicants having trouble with the Embark supplementary materials upload portal? When I initially submitted on Wednesday October 5th it seemed to go through, but I received an email saying that it had an issue and whenever I try to resubmit now, I get a connectivity error (attached screenshot) even though I have tested different internet connections and different browsers, and made sure that everything I was entering/uploading met all the length/size requirements. I've contacted Embark tech support but so far they haven't solved it (mostly just asked if javascript is enabled, which it is). Is anyone else having this issue/know what it is/how to fix it? I'm going crazy since there is no extension or anything for tech issues.

    Hi Guys.

I have applied 4 times in the past 0_0. I have been a finalist twice. And will be trying one more time. I hope to apply to Indonesia to focus on wildlife conservation. Either Rhino or the human-elephant conflict ! Good luck to all !

I don't think I've ever been rooting for someone as much as I am for you this cycle!! Talk about perseverance.

I made it through the first round for Ireland in this past cycle and I'll be reapplying there.

Well 3/18 was a big day last time. Here's to hoping that those of us who don't hear today, hear tomorrow!

Well, as per usual I'm out of positive reputation points for the day, but hear hear!

Mine came from the Fulbright Student Program (IIE).  The subject said Fulbright Application Notification.  It didn't have a P, A, or NS in the subject line as people from previous years mention.  Luckily the first sentence said congratulations, so I knew immediately it was good news.

    And, again, congratulations!

This list are winners from last year. Duke was named one of the top producing institution this year based on last years grantee numbers.

Ahh that makes so much more sense -- thanks!!

  12. Hey guys -- was reading this article

    http://www.dukechronicle.com/article/2016/03/twelve-students-graduates-named-fulbright-scholars

They use the term Scholars, but it seems that some of these would be study/research grants. Does anyone agree? Figured if we get consensus, we can use some of that to update the spreadsheet (we could say before 3/16 or something if it's a country where no applicants are on the forum to confirm). Just thought it might be good for future years looking back at the data!
