Is it normal to not get contacted by POI but get accepted? I'm just curious whether hearing from a POI is the customary case or if it varies by professor. Some people, including myself, have a fear that not hearing from a POI signals a rejection .
I have been wondering the same thing. Someone on the results page posted that POI contacted and said official decisions will be sent out by the end of this week. If we don't hear in the next few hours, it's safe to assume we will hear tomorrow.
Has anyone here heard from University of Washington yet? Someone on the survey posted that they received an email from their POI notifying of rejection...
Has anyone been accepted but was not contacted by their POI? I feel like everyone who gets accepted gets an email from POI first, so I'm worried I am just waiting for a rejection letter at this point. :/
Waiting on a few schools for History (PhD) and have seen that people have already been notified by their professors. Any chance I've been accepted but my professor of interest didn't feel like sending me an email? Or am I doomed?
I am waiting on UCLA, Cornell, and University of Washington in particular.
