  1. I interviewed with them like 2 weeks ago. Haven't heard anything yet though.
  2. I had an interview with SVA on Monday. It was for painting. I got the request via email on Sunday.
  3. I have a friend at UIUC and he says the department had a funding cut this year and are only accepting like 1 person. I don't know anything about the timeline, but I can ask him.
  4. I was invited last year and felt the same way. BUT, one of my friends did do the post-bac a few years ago and he says very positive things about it. I guess if you do the post-bac you are guaranteed an interview if you apply at SAIC the next year. It just seemed really over priced to me.
  5. Last year, the Rutgers results were staggered. Some got interviews and some were accepted without. I want to say it was over a few weeks that people heard. They sent rejections to people at the same time too. And grandguignol, don't let it get you down. Last year I applied to 5 schools and only got an interview at 1. At the interview, it was very apparent that it was not the right school for me. This year I researched schools a little more, cast a wider net and applied to 12 programs, and I've already got 1 acceptance and 5 interviews. A year really can make all the difference.
  6. Those are 2 of the programs I'm waiting to hear from too.
  7. Almost everything I have heard about the program has been positive. The only negative I heard had to do with the Paris trip so it shouldn't apply in your case. The studios for the program are the undergrad and first-year painting MFA studios. From what I understand, there are daily studio visits with Gregory Amenoff as well as several visiting artists. The program is pretty intense, like everything at Columbia. I know one of my friends started a new painting each day of the program.
  8. I've never applied for the Summer Intensive, but I did my undergrad at Columbia and have several friends who've done the program. (Both NYC and Paris)
  9. I received interviews for SAIC Painting and MICA today. I feel like the belle of the ball.
  10. Hey everyone. I promised myself I wasn't going to look at these forums this year because I didn't want to freak myself out. BUT, I got my first acceptance yesterday (third year applying) and figured my freak out is over. So yeah, I got a call that I was accepted to SAIC's Low Res program yesterday AND I was notified that I am a finalist at Tyler. I figured I'd share that info in case it helps anyone. I still had 5 applications to submit but I can now save my application fees because I like SAIC way better than any of those schools. Lol Anyway, good luck everybody!
