Sadly, this is completely normal. Sometimes it is much harder than anticipated to find peer reviewers and so it just takes longer. It is not unheard of for reviews to take three to four months. I would email them again to ask when you may expect to hear something. Under no circumstances should you submit somewhere else without withdrawing your manuscript from this journal first.

@piglet. thank you.. I am awake enough to be responding to your post, its way way past midnight where I stay. That being said , I find you being judgemental which is what I was trying to say in my very first post. I am wide awake to know what the journey holds and what I should be doing and what not. i do appreciate and thank Eigen and Telkanuru (@piglet33: happy eh?!!) for further expanding my vision about academia and the world in general.
All your posts seems to suggest I lack what it takes. I will try my best to catch up..wish me god speed!!

I think all sides have made strong points. That said, let's just understand that this is a very stressful time for everyone on all sides of the application spectrum! We all want desperately to get into our most desired programs!
We're all in public health and may run into each other at conferences and workshops in the future. Is it too sappy to say "can't we all just get along"? Yeah? Too much?
You all have wonderful things to contribute to the world of public health, hence why we're all applying and hoping to study, research, and add to the field!

IH at Hopkins does not all announce at the same time - the programs are pretty independent despite being in the same department.

Seriously, seriously, though. I know rejection hurts, but lashing out at entire state is a bit much.
Besides, Indiana was second in corn production last year. Iowa wants this poster to know that they produced more corn last year.
Just saying, okay?
