They don't do interviews. I got my MSW from CSSW. But you are more than welcome to call admissions and ask as well. @royerful0

@txchef Thanks for posting anyways, and good luck to you as well! So did they ask you things specific to your application? Being told one thing from admissions and then hearing it from actual interviewees I find is way more helpful sometimes because you hear it from the committee.

@drph_phd_hopeful Thanks for letting us know as well. I have no idea how many people they are interviewing, Im guessing its case by case.

@DrPH2016 Yea I hear yea! But they did said just because one gets an interview, doesn't mean they will be admitted, and just because you don't get an interview doesn't mean you won't. So we shall see! And yes, I wish I could see being the adcom veil as well!!! Going a little crazy over here from this waiting, since I submitted mine Oct. 30th.... I seriously over this waiting lol

Hey everyone, so as impatient as I am, I called admissions again and made it sound like I heard something different in terms of the timeline to get a better answer lol, and I said an applicant told me decisions would be out feb 15? is that true?... and the woman in admissions said decisions will be sent mid feb to mid march, so it is a possibility that some could hear in a little over a week and some could hear end of Feb and then Mid March. It just depends how far along they are on your app process. So just to let you all know!!! Not sure if this is helpful.

@wongjcz But honestly... It is completely ok!!!! Thats why I had tagged you in my post so you would see it.. But I think it could be different for international applicants. So please, don't feet bad... but also, I think you can hide the posts or edit them!

@wongjcz I hear what you are saying. If you feel like you want to clarify with people you have told or will tell, I would just mention that as an international student, you were told Feb 15th decisions were being made. That way you cover your basis... just in case lol

@wongjcz Hey its totally Ok!!! No need to apologize.... After reading your last post I didn't realize you were an international student... So the date that was told to you was maybe for international students only... But then there is also the possibility that the person I spoke with at UPenn may not be properly informed either. So please do not feel bad!!!

Hey ALL!!!!!!! All those who applied to UC Berkeley for PhD in Social Welfare, I just got off the phone with admissions, and they said decisions will be sent out this week!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!! I also spoke with Penn admissions, and they said that the Feb 15th decision date that is going around is completely wrong. They have had several people call regarding this. They said that they are still very much being reviewed by the committee and that they are shooting for late Feb to early March... They said it would be a miracle if we hear a decision on Feb 15th.

@embe87 I applied to Berkeley as well for Social Welfare... and I am not sure if we are suppose to hear back this week. I know of one person who already got a rejection letter, but that is all I have heard of. Good Luck to you!

@Opt4theBest hahah I completely understand that feeling, even when I applied for my Masters and even now for my PhD. So what you are feeling is completely normal, tell your husband that. lol Im still checking and I can not help it. lol

@Opt4theBest I understand the frustration... I got my MSW from CSSW. and I remember I got my admitted decision Feb 28 2013... however I that people for my cohort heard back of admittance the week prior to mine. So hopefully that may help in terms of decisions for the MSW program for this year.

Hey all.... I applied to CSSW for Fall 2013 for my MSW. I was accepted with a 3.204 GPA.. Trust me I was in shock!!!! I graduated May 2015. From my experience, they are very holistic in the application process. So honestly try not to focus so much on the GPA. Hope this helps.

This gives me so much hope, I have my MSW from an Ivy and my BA Psych from a State school, but I decided I was really going to apply to PhD programs kinda late and did not have a lot of time to study and did horrible on my GRE. So thank you for posting... calms me nerves a little.
