Congratulations! I guess I was rejected by the program

I wrote to the graduate field co-ordinator and she said she should have answers by the end of the week. I honestly do not know what to expect from Cornell.

@paria I've applied to only three planning schools : Michigan, MIT and harvard. Got rejected by the last one. I'd be so pleased if i got into Michigan! Though given the miniscule size of their cohort, who knows @Frank Knight thank you. We all seem to be in the same boat. good luck to us.

@Frank Knight Oh no! I am so sorry to hear that. good luck at Michigan. Let's hope we are the few to make it to Michigan (based on their figures Michigan got 86 apps last year and the intake was 3)!

Thank you @nevermind! I am sure a lot of us feel this way, but I really just want to know all my results. Still waiting to hear from a bunch of schools. I will never get why schools take so long to inform the rejects, in today's email age. Just send out an email blast already

I got into Wayne State University in Detroit. Got offered a decent fellowship. I don't think I shall be taking it up however. Has anyone heard from Columbia? Just saw a Columbia admit. Congratulations!!

Absolutely. I want to be done with this process asap so I can decide on the next five - seven years of my life asap.

@alain I was waitlisted at Stanford, a few years ago. No one got off the waitlist that year. But the chair was very nice about my emails asking about when I might hear and if waitlisted candidates do ever get accepted. Hope this helps!

@Frank Knight Good luck with USC! Oh I am sorry to hear about your application to MIT. I am not sure what to think about MIT and/or GSD (and my chances there). Hopefully one shall hear in the next couple of weeks. Michigan should say (based on history) something in the next couple of weeks.

Just heard from Columbia: " Dear Ramya, we will be making final admissions decisions Feb. 15. If you have not heard from us by then, it would be safe to assume that you were not offered admission to our program." Phew. I am so grateful that they are being so direct! I hope this information helps!

Hi! I applied to PhD (urban planning) programs at the University of Michigan, Harvard GSD, and MIT DUP (CDD). I am not sure what to expect out of Harvard and MIT. I am currently finishing up a degree in Urban Design from a small uni in Michigan. I did decently in the GREs but not stellar and my graduate GPA is about 3.75. I have two other graduate degrees (in political science and science policy studies). To me, the schools I applied to are a great fit, but Michigan is notorious for being insular. @Frank Knight if you don't mind my asking, did you speak with a POI at Michigan? I would be stoked if I got into Michigan!
