  1. Congratulations on Harvard! nope, no word from MIT. I saw a couple of posts about PhD acceptances and a few more about Masters, but with the PhD I am not sure if it was the same person hitting the result twice by mistake or two different people. I am hoping things will be clear by next week. Good luck!
  2. Did you also apply to the PhD program? I applied for the PhD program in CDD
  3. Looks like MIT sent out Masters and PhD results. Is anyone else waiting for MIT?
  4. I know right!!! I was just stumped when I read that. Normally only acceptance letters come with a line like that
  5. Ah I see. good luck with those! Well..we are both waiting for MIT. I am not sure I have much of a chance there but I think he definitely does. So we will be probably be waiting another week before we make up our minds.
  6. Just got rejected too! Did you get a letter too? It is so funny that the email said: please let me know if you have any questions. How unthinking can they be?
  7. Just saw a Michigan acceptance to the PhD program. I am assuming I did not make it. Good luck to you and @paria!
  8. @paria @Frank Knight Looks like the Uof M sent out a bunch of MArch results today.
  9. I know right! I'll have 3 master's degrees at the end of summer. At that price, it is just fantasy.
  10. Columbia just sent me an email offering me a International History MA (in association with LSE). Unfunded of course. They are so funny.
  11. Congratulations on UC Riverside, it is a great school! Your work sounds very interesting! Good luck! My research interests are broadly in political borders and their impact on city form especially in the case of trans-frontier regions over time. So yes, my research interests are broadly historical/urban. I am not sure I will get into a planning program, but I am hoping having a Master's in Urban Design will help
  12. True that with Cornell Things have turned out decently, thanks. Got a generous funding package from Michigan State for 5 years... so I am kinda sorta happy. Got accepted at a couple of other places, but I do not see myself taking them up. I am waiting to hear from a couple of planning schools.
  13. Ah I see. So one more week of waiting. Ugh. Me too! My spouse just got into an east coast school, so there are other complications in addition to the small size of the cohort at the University of Michigan. Well I have been accepted to a couple of history PhDs at Michigan State and Wayne State, so I have somewhere to go, which is a good feeling. If you don't mind my asking, where is your PoliSci admit from?
  14. @Josh J. Congratulations!! @Neist Ugh... you'd think they'd be dying to have brilliant people like us? The rejection letter said something about faculty fit. I wish I could ask them if they actually read my SOP since I clearly stated fit with specific faculty members Congratulations on your other admits. @anxiousgradgirl I hope you got some good news from Cornell!
  15. I am so sorry @Neist :/ I don't know who even got in!
  16. @Frank Knight @paria just saw that the university of Michigan has sent out some master's admits. wonder when the phd program will say something.
  17. Got my reject from Cornell @Neist I hope you have good news!!
  18. @Frank Knight Ah, lets hope we hear soon. And good news I saw some notifications for their Master of Urban Design program.
  19. Congratulations @Mrobay!! @paria @Frank Knight any word from the U of M?
  20. @LaurenM and @bibliomancer are you guys talking about Cornell History or Cornell STS? I was talking about Cornell STS. I am a little confused. Too many application anxieties.
  21. @LaurenM No, just the graduate co-ordinator saying that decisions will be out this week. But I did not hear from my POI. In fact, when I wrote to my POI before applying she said that the decision rests with the committee blah blah. So I am assuming I have been rejected.
