  1. Well then. Guess it is just a matter of waiting on the rejection then haha I do appreciate the information though!
  2. Did anyone hear anything from Vanderbilt this week by chance? Or have any new info on when their acceptance/final rejection decisions might be going out? This late into the admission cycle, I'm starting to get a tad bit nervous/paranoid my admission decision somehow never reached me...The only thing really keeping me going is that so few others have heard anything definite either
  3. Sounds like I'll be spending the rest of the week waiting in a borderline overwhelming state of anxiety then lol My own anxiety aside though, good luck to everyone on the board who is still waiting to hear about decisions!
  4. I'm in the same spot that you are. Haven't heard a peep from Vandy at this point. Guessing it means that we've been placed on a de facto wait-list of some kind, but then again, if I've learned anything from the grad school application process thus far, it's that very little about the selection process makes sense, and that trying to predict any of the outcomes or logic behind them is pretty much an exercise in futility haha
  5. As someone else waiting to hear from Vanderbilt, I definitely appreciate the update as well! Six admission offers seems like a really small number though (unless they are expecting every single offer to be accepted). I remember their website saying they usually try to have 5 to 10 students in each new yearly cohort, so unless they are expecting every person from the weekend to accept their offer, does anyone know if they're hoping for a smaller cohort than usual this year? Or is it possible this means there are still offers to be made to those who haven't heard anything yet? I know the smaller cohort option is probably more likely, but sometimes a little wishful/hopeful/denial-based thinking is all a man has left to cling to lol
  6. One of the most accurate depictions of waiting to hear back from grad schools that I've ever seen lol
  7. Anyone want to claim those Duke acceptances? It looks like they are using both phone and email to let people know. And since I've had radio silence on both those fronts at this point, I am definitely starting to get a bit nervous
  8. Wait, is Princeton doing their notifications by phone this year? That seems like it would be a bit out of sync with the method of notification they appear to normally use (or, at least, out of sync with the method of notification for decisions posted on the results board over the past several years).
  9. Claiming my first acceptance at NC State! First school I applied to that I've heard a decision from. Such a relief to have at least one acceptance under my belt now!
  10. Oh man...well if he/she had to venture elsewhere, another school on your application list sounds like one of the best possible outcomes you could hope for! (depending on how enthusiastic you feel about the new school that is)
  11. That was always one of my greatest fears when finding good faculty matches at schools! Do you have other professors there who would be a good fit as well? Now I'm paranoid that I need to go back and double check the employment status of my POIs at my schools
  12. First time posting, but figured I'd throw my hat into the ring of people anxiously awaiting decisions from their chosen schools. I was also wondering if anyone might have heard anything about a possible timeframe for Princeton? I know they've sent their decisions out by this time in previous years, so I was just curious if anyone might have an idea of when decisions might be going out this year? *anxiously awaits responses*
