  1. I don’t know for certain but based on the info I got it seems like yes they’ve notified all finalists
  2. @ughihatethis Yale campus visits are next week, they’ve called ppl
  3. It’s part of the process, it happened to me before. I know it’s hard but try not to let it discourage you. Most people have to apply 2-4 times before they get interviews and finally get in somewhere.
  4. If there’s anyone reading who got an interview to Yale (or anywhere else) but doesn’t want to post here, could you post it on the results page? That’s anonymous so no one will know who you are - https://www.thegradcafe.com/survey/post.php
  5. Hey all, I was a finalist last year for Yale and heard from them Feb. 8, 2022. Based on previous grad cafe reporting, that was kind of early last year, but not hearing anything yet this late also is unusual. I’ve heard of friends of friends applying to other Yale MFA programs already getting called for interviews, including for directing and theater management. So I have a feeling they’ve also already informed their playwriting finalists and just none of them are on grad cafe. I think those of us who haven’t heard but haven’t been rejected are probably some kind of back up list. It’s that or they are behind all the other departments this year. I’m a pessimist by nature which is why I think it’s the former. We’ll see : /
  6. Oh dang I’m sorry @MischiefNotManaged I know the feeling. Hang in there, you’re not alone
  7. Sorry once again to be the bearer of bad news, but I've heard Brooklyn has already chosen their people. I think, if I remember correctly what other people wrote in previous years, that Brooklyn is notorious for not telling people they are rejected until very late in the season.
  8. Hey all, sorry to be the bearer of bad news - I've heard through the grapevine that Brown and UT Austin have already done their interviews, so those of us that haven't heard anything from them probably aren't going to.
  9. Just chiming in to say I haven't heard from Brown either, or UT-Austin. I'm assuming UT-Austin has already interviewed people, based on timeline reports from previous years. But Brown seems to contact people in mid-to-late February, so maybe they are running behind this year? Or I'm just wishful thinking ?
  10. Hey all, I was wondering if anyone on here had heard from UT Austin / Michener yet. In the past it looks like they notified finalists at the beginning of Feb. so I assume they’ve picked people already
  11. @thefates thanks so much! I will try to breathe! @ZoraNeale2021 yay, congratulations!! I have my group interview Monday at 10 am ET, what about you? feel free to private message me if you want to chat more (i think we can do that on here?) Hope everyone else gets good news soon, I haven't heard from any other schools yet good luck on the Carnegie Mellon interview @tomlette and @MischiefNotManaged!
  12. Eek, I just got asked for a first-round interview with Yale ? Now the nervousness has really kicked in
  13. Fingers crossed for good luck coming @seasickmermaid!
  14. @Mel Rose I applied to UT Austin, didn't hear anything yet either
  15. Hi all, previous poster, back again this year. I all of a sudden tonight began to feel nervous ? so thought I'd post and say hello! Best of luck to everyone for this round!
  16. @Penny Jar thanks for the info about Juilliard! That's good to know.
  17. Hi all, hope everyone is doing okay and got into a program they want to go to. For anyone who's applying next year, I thought my research notes from this past application season might be useful. I researched every program listed on https://pwcenter.org/playwriting-toolkit/graduate-programs-playwriting-dramaturgy Some of the info below is ONLY good for this application season - the due dates may be very different for the 2019-2018 - but I figured it might help future applicants get an idea of each program. 18. Hey @emmadlemma sorry I can't help, I haven't applied to either. I think I remember someone else mentioning Catholic University on this thread somewhere. Hope you're interview went well, good luck!
  19. Yeah, he responded to me too - offers have gone out to finalists and I'm not one of them : ( I really like Ohio's program, so I feel sad, but I expected it. Hope everyone else had better results!
  20. Anyone heard from Ohio yet? I emailed again to check in. If I get a response Iʻll post it.
  21. Hmmm.. I would assume like 11:59 PM on the 15th.. ? But I'd double check with the program just to make sure!
  22. @Writer787 nope no interview. when I emailed them a few weeks ago they said they hadn’t picked final candidates yet, but I suspect they must have by now? it’s getting so late
  23. Hahaha, I'm not willing to make any bets! How much more waiting can we take Has anyone been contacted by Ohio, since that lone report of someone being interviewed back in March, posted on the results page?
  24. Sorry all, that really sucks. Arkansas is only taking 2 people this year, but it sounds like next year they might take more, in case anyone decides to apply again. All this waiting is really, really tough. I feel like it's playing with my mind. Hopefully it'll be over by next week.
  25. Yeah, still no word from Ohio on my end. Iʻm assuming weʻll hear something in the next week.
