I will be attending Georgia State (IR sub-field).

I haven't received funding info from GSU yet, but I will most likely attend regardless if I get funding.

I FINALLY heard from my last two schools, both today. I received an email rejection from UCSD (IR/PS) Ph.D, who referred me to their MPIA and an acceptance from Georgia State.

Still...from what I can tell, UCSD's IR/PS Ph.D has not sent out any rejections or acceptances (only MPIA has). Does anyone know what is going on with them? Their app deadline was back in mid-December.

Has anyone heard from UCSD's IR/PS Ph.D program? I see a handful of MPIA acceptances, but have heard nothing regarding Ph.D acceptances or rejections.

Are you referring to American University? If so, I received a rejection from the SIS Ph.D program weeks ago.

I haven't heard anything either.

Has anyone heard from UC San Diego (IR/PS) about Ph.D admits? I see a few M.A. acceptances, but have not seen any mention of the Ph.D program. The application deadline was in early December—this wait is just as bad as USC.

Does anyone claim the Hawaii-Manoa rejection?

I received my UMD rejection late last night. Email sent me to the website.

I have been told by my advisors that this it is pretty typical at most schools to have to meet the first month or two of expenses as grad students must begin classes before being added to the payroll, and depending on when classes start, you may miss the first payroll cycle and have to wait until the following month before receiving the first stipend. Can any grad students share when you received your first stipend?
