  1. Linear algebra is a weird one, because it's kind of different from a lot of math classes you've probably taken (you've probably encountered matrices before, which is a great foundation). I started in psychology then switched to statistics but took linear algebra to study quantitative psychology. My class was super conceptual and it was a little tricky for me to wrap my head around, but we also had a visiting professor and I think he thought we had taken another pre req class that we hadn't actually taken. It sounds like you're mathematically minded and don't have a ton of other classes to focus on, so you should be fine!
  2. Do you go to OU?? I'm moving to Norman in the fall for a PhD program and I have no idea where to live! I've been doing tons of research, but I don't know anyone out there to get opinions. I'm definitely looking into renting an unfurnished 1bed/1bath apt. I've been reading lots of reviews....will I have roaches no matter where I live?? How is the bug/rodent situation out there? (I'm from Utah...super dry and relatively bug-free!)
  3. Hey, congrats!! I'm the one who posted about the recruitment weekend--I got an email from Dr. Song about it. " The College of Arts and Science will host the recruitment weekend (March 4-6) on Norman campus. The prospective student can have a chance to tour the campus and department, and talk to the professors and other fellow students. Each of the prospects could get $400 of their travel reimbursed. I am contacting you to confirm if you decide to come for a visit during that weekend. " I bet you could call Dr. Song or Kathryn Paine, the admissions adviser, about it. I won't be able to make it this weekend, but they told me that if I visit another time they'll still reimburse me! Do you think you'll accept the offer? I'm still waiting for a "counter offer" from ASU (I've been waitlisted but they asked me to keep them updated on my other offers), but I think I'll most likely accept OU's offer!
