  4. Was there an option on the application to choose for that track?
  5. According to the results tab, they sent them around this time last year...
  6. Thank you! I actually emailed the program and the program assistant emailed back saying they won't be offering me an interview. So for anyone who was wondering, you could try emailing. They are going to send out the rejection emails next week for those wondering.
  7. Does anyone know if Minnesota is going to offer any more invites to interview?
  8. Genome Magazine is a free subscription! It's a great read.
  9. I've read that too! If you like patient stories, try this one out: The Story Within: Personal Essays on Genetics and Identity by Amy Boesky.
  10. I really liked Telling Genes: The Story of Genetic Counseling in America by Alexandra Stern! Or if you are interested in the history of genetics The Gene by Siddhartha Mukherjee. My favorite is Genetic Rounds by Dr. Robert Marion.
  11. For those who got an interview offer with Minnesota, when did you submit your application?
  12. I submitted my application on Christmas and re-sent an e transcript on the Dec 29 (because they couldn't find the one I sent in November) they opened it on Jan 3 and I just checked wolverine access and it says received today. I think as long as you have a copy of your unofficial transcript on the application, you should be okay (according to the graduate school admissions)
  13. Has anyone applied to the dual degree program of Genetic Counseling & Public Health? If so, I would love to hear about your background and experience
  14. Hi everyone! I'll be applying for Fall 2018 cycle as well! I'm very excited to share this journey with everyone About me: I graduated December 2016 with a BS in Psychology. My GPA was a 3.4. I'm taking the GRE this June. I've been involved in multiple research labs mainly in Psychology. I am currently working as a Medical Assistant in a Internal Medicine office. I also volunteer at my local hospital's Cancer Genetics department. My advocacy work includes hospice and crisis line. I have shadowed and interviewed several GC's from pediatrics to cancer genetics and prenatal. I am very interested in eliminating health disparities for minorities involving Genetic services and so I am very excited to start volunteering with the Healthy Asian American Project!
