Is anyone still waiting to hear back from MSc Epi at Western? I've read that some got a rejection and some got acceptances too but I've heard absolutely nothing from them.

@epi2017 Hopefully you are right. All the best for your interview. I knew from previous years threads that they conducted one. Thank you for letting me know. Need to keep myself busy this weekend. Thankfully work will keep me from updating my email every 10 minutes.

@mariont19 As far as I could collect from the previous years threads McMaster and Guelph both send their first round of acceptance around mid to late March. People were through hearing back till May. Hope this helps. All the best for you applications.

From the previous years thread I know that they send out early acceptances for certain branches like occupation and environmental health and nutrition.

Got my first rejection today. Feeling pretty bummed right now. It was my top choice school. I hoped I would at least be Waitlisted first. Oh well 3 more schools to go. Let's hope for the best.

One year a long time ago, there were penguins who didn't wear hats when swimming. This made their mothers livid. "Unacceptable!" Frightened, they screamed, "Bears!" Nobody seemed convinced so instead of going swimming they tried juggling. Their mothers tried everything they thought would teach her a skill. However, she couldn't even make oatmeal without disastrous results. So, the penguins gathered money (obviously) trying to purchase a bear. Towering over them, a grizzly beast danced, devouring all bears with such ferocity that even God enjoyed it. Afterwards, God congratulated the penguins and applauded them. "You did it!"
Suddenly, the grizzly beast started dancing vigorously. There was an acromantula nearby. It challenged the preconception that magical mushrooms were magical. Sparkling, the magical mushrooms were spreading throughout town. Nobody with pyromania thought grilled cheese would spontaneously erupt into nine identical squirrels! Nevertheless, the penguins elucidated the benefits of sparkling water from Iceland. Suddenly, Iceland exclaimed, "Enough!!! No more penguins. Kill all of the arcades on Monday because King Arthur suffered from sphenisciphobia." Tragically, everyone forgot lasers cure bug madness, meaning none of them stripped the violet beast of his powerful jaw bones. So while some arms spouted Kool-aid, others chopped nuts. I applied to 2 programs at Uoft Mph Epi (dlsph) and Msc CEHCR (ihpme) and Mph at McMaster. What about you?

I applied last year and was waitlisted and am applying again this year but found out THIS WEEK that they are recommending the GRE. Im a bit annoyed as I never would have thought to have to repeatedly check the admission requirements (from my understanding this has only been announced since fall). Im still feeling pretty silly that I am only finding this out now Im going to write it but if i do horribly I am thinking i may just not send results (especially considering I have about a week or less to prepare). Anyone else considering an application without these results?
I am applying without the gre scores too. I was blindsided(specially since I had viewed the admission requirements a few times since January to not miss out anything) when I read they strongly recommend taking GRE for epidemiology from this year and it's compulsory from next year. I am serious about the application but I'm so unprepared for taking the GRE. Being an international applicant we are not required to take GRE here. This is my top choice school and submitting the application without gre scores is freaking me out but there was no way I could have managed to give the exam on time.

It depends on the program you are applying to. Some require gre scores and some don't. Even within a program a concentration will require gre scores and the other won't. Carefully read the admission requirements for every program you are applying to.

@epi2017 Thank you for your reply and congratulations on your acceptance. I have not much hope left from Western which is a bummer because it was one of my top choice school and I was looking forward to being given a chance to work with a specific professor. I feel weird that I have heard absolutely nothing from them in in months. Sigh.
