  1. From what I have heard they send an email notification. However, I don't know for sure.
  2. Well now the updated page say "FROM April 3rd." I suspect we wont know for another week if they keep pushing the date on the website back.
  3. I was also accepted to Oxford's MSc in CSP and LSE's MSc in Social Policy and Planning. I don't know much about Heinz, but I am deciding between those 2 schools and UPenn's Social Policy Program. For me it will come down to funding (of course), strength on national and international reputation, job placement, and curriculum. By far, in terms of international social policy reputation - Oxford and LSE are strongest. LSE's program has a long history and strong curriculum. Of course, Oxford is...Oxford and has instant name recognition much like a Harvard Kennedy School. At the end of the day, for me its about being prepared with the strongest skill set and leaving the program with a strong footing to be able to secure the job I want. So in the end, if Oxford comes through with funding, I will go there.
  4. Thanks Curls215! I will def say an extra prayer for all of us. I know that the update page says that 4 social science Clarendons were given out in the first review cycle so it looks like the bulk of the awards will be announced by the April 2nd date. The wait is killing me! lol
  5. I was offered a place in Social Sciences (MSc). Waiting (like you) for Clarendon status updates.
  6. I got into Michigan and got all scholarships.I was notified in late Feb and fin aid. I applied for scholarships when I submitted my app. They prob are still considerig ppl for scholarships. All the best.

  8. Did anyone get into the Risk and Prevention program?
  9. Congrats to everyone on your acceptances!!!! Its such an exciting time. I have decided on Columbia, but will be deferring while I do a one yr masters @ Harvard. So excited!!! All the best to everyone who is still waiting.
  10. Im no expert, but I dont think you should take it as a rejection especially if your online application doesnt have an admissions deicsion link. They may just still be posting them. All the best w/grad school admissions.
  11. I just got the email...I was accepted into the risk and prevention program! Congrats to everyone else!!! Im SOOOO Excited!
  12. I'm excited about getting into Columbia. It just sucks that they give so little in fin aid. WashU's package is great, and Michigan's is pretty good, but Columbia not so much.
  13. I wouldnt worry. I am sure that they are still pumping out decisions. I applied super early to every program (exceot HGSE), so my Columbia application was complete in October. From what I have heard from Columbia, they will still be sending out deicions in the weeks to come. In fact, they said that I would have to wait unto end of March or start of April before I get any info on fin aid.
  14. I just went online to check out my fin aid package from U-Michigan. I have to say that compared to the other schools that I got into (Chicago, New School, and Brown - No word on $ from Columbia and Penn) their package is AMAZING. Infact, the grants and scholarships that they offered will cover my tution and housing. We shall see from the other schools that i have not heard from yet.
  15. Hi! Maybe we will end up in the same cohort! *says a quick prayer* And Yes the wait is SOOOOO hard! Where did you hear about next week? I thought the firm date was on March 26th?
  16. I just got an email....the decisions for Columbia have been posted! Anyone else get accepted??!!! I am so happy that the wait is over. All the best!
  17. I heard from NYU about a week or so ago. But I applied super early and still have not heard about any financial aid. I am pretty sure that they are still pumping out decisions. I hope you hear soon. All the best!
  18. I got an email from them yesterday saying that they would start sending out decisions later this week.
  19. I didnt ask them. I just got the email. The subject said 'Decisions Update' (SO misleading!) And YES it is taking forever. I dont know whats going on. But anywho, its reads: Thank you for completing your application to Columbia University's School of Social Work. We are currently in the process of reviewing applications and will be notifying applicants of their decision via email starting later this week. Unfortunately, we will not be able to notify you of your decision over the phone. Once you get an email, you can log in to your application to view your decision at: https://app.applyyourself.com/?id=COL-SW Please be sure to add cussw-admit@columbia.edu to your address book and update your profile with any email address changes. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the Office of Admissions at cussw-admit@columbia.edu or 212-851-2400. Sincerely, The Office of Admissions
  20. Check out Penn's Sp2 School. They have an MSW, but also a Masters in Social Policy program. In fact you could get both degrees in 2 years if you go the dual degree route.
  21. According the email I got yesterday, we should hear from Columbia by the end of the week.
  22. Congrats on the acceptances!! I am still waiting for Columbia. Why is it taking so long?
  23. Hi everyone! I am new to the forum. I just got my letter in the mail this week from NYU. I havent heard anything from them about money yet. Still waiting on Columbia MSW and HGSE. So far, I have heard from NYU, Penn, Michigan, and Chicago. Ive narrowed it down to Columbia, Penn or HGSE. Congrats to everyone who has gotten acceptances!
