  1. Hi everyone I wanted to ask you about clinical psychology or mental health counseling masters in the US. I am approaching my last year of psychology bachelors in the Netherlands and aim to study my masters in the US (I'm a Turkish-American dual citizen), but I don't really know the system there. My ultimate goal is to provide therapy more so than research, however, I don't want to completely rule out that possibility because I am thinking about pursuing a phd/psyd in the future. But I should note that right now my statistics grades are not the best ( the US equvalent are B's I think). Further, my GPA equivalent should be around 3.4.So I have a couple of questions and I would be eternally grateful if you can help me find answers to any of them - First of all, are 3 years bachelors degrees accepted in the US? If not what can I do in order to become eligible for applying to grad school? - What are my chances of being accepted to a masters program with this GPA? - What type of programs would you suggest I should apply for? I am currently thinking about applying to a clinical mental health counseling program, but all the ones I've checked seem to be completely focused on practice and do not include any master thesis, research expriences etc... - What are the differences between marriage and family therapists and clinical mental health counselors? Cheers, Melike.
