  1. Submitting my application for the internal deadline this week! I am applying for an ETA in Indonesia, has anybody else here applied for or received a Fulbright to Indonesia in the past?
  2. I'm super nervous too! Based off my experience being rejected last year, I'm just going to expect the worst. I know that sounds like a bummer but if I get it, it will feel that much better!
  3. Just out of curiousity, did a lot of you seek help from your advisors/your university’s scholarship office? I think getting help from my school’s Fulbright advisor made a huge difference in my application! I’m a second time applicant for Indonesian. ?
  4. Just submitted my application for Indonesian!
  5. Somebody on the CLS applicants page called the office and they said they were going to try to get them out by the end of this week. Don't lose hope yet guys!
  6. Also it says on the application site that it will be undergoing "site maintenance" on the 17th.
  7. Looking at past forums, it seems as though they send out decisions around 4 or 5 pm EST, probably as the office is closing so they don't have to deal with an onslaught of phone calls afterward lol.
  8. @okazu or maybe that means decisions are coming out today?
  9. I can't tell if I'm laughing or crying ???
  10. @I Think I can Definitely feel free to message me! I would talk about study abroad all day if I could. @okazu Is that the deadline to submit evaluations for the final round of eliminations? Or is that around the time we'll hear about semifinalists?
  11. @I Think I can I've applied to study abroad and I will be going this upcoming semester. I've also received a Gilman. There are some study abroad programs that are at a similar caliber of academic intensity as CLS. For mine, I have close to 1000 pages of reading to do before I even set foot in the country. It all depends on what you want from your program. Do you want difficult classes, or a lighter courseload so you can travel around? Do you want to live in an apartment or a home stay? There are tons of programs out there, so if whether you study abroad with CLS or through another program, you have tons of options!
  12. Would anybody who has gotten CLS be able to talk about how living in your country of interest looks when applying? I used to live in Indonesia and I really emphasized that on my application. I feel like it should help, but I don't know to what extent. I also know some fellowships prefer if you haven't lived in your country of interest prior to applying.
  13. @I Think I can Yes it's my first time applying! It would be awesome to get it this year, but if I don't, I can already think of ways I can improve my application for next year.
  14. I've been looking for a forum for this cycle of CLS applications! I applied for beginning Indonesian. If anybody else applied for Indonesian or knows someone who has, I would love to hear from you! I'm so nervous, hopefully I'm not the only one.
