Alas, what I wouldn't give for a word from Marquette... 

I had my interview and one hour later. I got in. I have been formally accepted into Stanford University!!!

I feel so bad for every generation of kids that didn't get to grow up with this movie.

I even watched the entire karate kid clip, as if that would help me cope. 

I got into Iowa! YAY! Apparently my POIs were "deeply impressed" with my interview. 

It has begun...

Also, just for the record, until they contact me, I'm choosing to believe that I still have a very good chance of getting into UT-Austin. Until I am hand-delivered a rejection letter, I'm telling myself that I can use the Secret or Scientology or something to get myself admitted.
It's going to happen!! Do you hear me, Universe?? 

Well, I reckon we'll all just be sittin' out here waiting for Harvard this week. Anyone got a guitar?
 

i got rejected by rice! my roommate was handing me his leftovers, when I grabbed it and it fell all over the floor. and, this on the heels of my top school choice rejecting me this week!
 
I'm sorry I use humor to cope with the hard realities of the graduate school process.

Got invited to a second interview with Stanford University on the 24th... wish me luck...

This sounds about right to me. 
I wish my POI would email, "Yo Averroes, you have (not) been accepted." I think he should have live tweeted me it in the meeting actually.

Did the professor mention an applicant named Andrea? Like did he say something like, "You sass that froopy Andrea and her project on early Christian art? There's a frood who really knows where her towel is" or something of the kind?

That makes me so sad. I really thought I had a chance with them, and I REALLY wanted to go there.
.... so, should I wait till late Saturday night and drunk dial the department repeatedly? Leave them a bunch of messages for them to find Monday morning?
