  1. HGSE be like nice try but no cigar. Good luck y'all - its been a pleasure e-hanging out with all of you!
  2. Not trying to break no hearts out here but 3:45 is a prediction based on limited sample size so we must remember, patience is the key to wisdom and sanity. At worst, a few more hours but we almost there.
  3. Haha. Very fair. Happy Eid! Arguably, Al-Ghazali ruined the Islamic scientific thought which was a lot more progressive for the times than what followed in the Western world. Then again, the world is full of contradictions and complexities and I do love Ghazali for him mainstreaming of Sufism so we have that middle ground.
  4. That cracked me up. Haha. Thanks, @boptillidrop77
  5. We can all worry ourselves into oblivion but to no avail. I am sure you have a great profile and you'd do great. They are all (admissions office as well as the admissions committees) likely in a time crunch with trying to get this cohort finalized and develop, offer classes and such so don't let a lack of visits dishearten you. As has been said here before, we tried and completed the applications in such a short period of time so that in itself is an achievement. HGSE is great and all but it does not define your genius and contributions to the world. You will be fine.
  6. @JConan @Jimmy54 SSP is not the only one. HGSE is consolidating several of their programs with addition of 'concentrations' as a flexibility mechanism for those who want to pursue individualized curriculum. This will be the last SSP cohort. 2021-onwards, SSP will no longer be a program option. Here is a graphic explaining the consolidation; https://www.gse.harvard.edu/sites/default/files//HGSE_MastersProgramHistory.pdf Here's a page explaining the changes; https://www.gse.harvard.edu/masters2021/faq
  7. True. Besides, I think they wanna avoid the mess and likely want to release admission status and the next steps at the same time. From FAQs; When will the complete course schedule be released? On July 31, we plan to release the HGSE catalog which will include the course descriptions and learning goals, day/time schedules, and more details. As part of that next update, we will share information about the process for course enrollment for the fall semester, including information about course previews and opportunities to ask faculty members questions about courses. When and how will I choose classes? In the July 31 message, we plan to share more information about the fall 2020 course enrollment process. At this time, we recommend reviewing the course lists, sorted by course number and by broad course category, along with your required Program courses to begin developing an initial group of courses in which you might like to enroll this fall.
  8. More SSP! This is great. I thought it was just me and reverend on this forum. Good luck you all!
  9. Yes. I’m still a bit salty though that they said ‘end of July’ instead of July 31st or August 1st so I was really hoping they’d relieve us of this purgatory a day or two before. C'est la vie.
  10. Thank you for sharing this. Here's a 2020-2021 Academic Year's list of courses including the ones being offered multiple times and across multiple time zones; https://www.gse.harvard.edu/sites/default/files//HGSE-courses-by-number-20-21.pdf
  11. No, and no. I don’t think they’ll have time for that.
  12. No updates. The same too.
  13. Goodness gracious. I was not ready for this. How did you find out?
  14. I do work full time. With only a couple of hours of sleep, it is not a healthy lifestyle and I discourage it. I hope to do better in the coming years. My situation is a bit unique. I have some limited support from an NGO but given their internal structure they can only extend that for Harvard/Oxford. And there are a couple of Faculty members at Harvard who I’d love to learn from. Otherwise, I’m sure I will live without an EdM. So if it’s not this, it’s bust for me. We will find out shortly.
