My Western student centre and ORPAS account both say that I have an offer of admission from Western, however, I did not recieve a call today like I have read others have. I am currently finishing my 4th year at Western, so maybe they didn't call current students??? I'm not sure why they wouldn't - is anyone else in the same boat?
I am also a current student at Western, but I got a call! I've tried calling back twice today but she hasn't answered- so maybe she's just busy

Does anyone accepted to Western know if there is a spring open house? I've tried calling back but keep getting the voicemail (I slept through the call this morning, it was a super late night last night!!)

And still nothing from McGill?! The open house is literally next week! Every morning I wake up and I'm like okay today HAS to be the day they start calling! And then..... nothing!

They were sent more than 3 weeks ago again... They said they would work off of my unofficial scores for now but part of me wonders if it isn't just that they have already rejected me so they know they don't need the scores... TT___TT ahh I'm a mess of anxiety. How am I going to write my midterms this week?? haha I can't stop checking my phone every ten minutes.
Or maybe your GPA and references were so awesome they don't really care about the scores!! Stay positive
I am also compulsively checking my phone, emails, school portals...

I've been checking the results, my uApply, and my email like a fiend. Nooo signs of anything from McGill yet. I feel like I've been waiting for an eternity! Their website says mid-March, so surely it should be soon? Maybe next week? Monday seems like a pretty normal time to decide a student's fate, yes?

Same! I was so convinced they would make calls this week based on the old forums. I don't know if my nerves can handle waiting any longer!!

It was just like "your friend has this problem, what do you do?". I'm working full-time and taking two classes right now so it's just like.. ahhh interview @_@ No time to prepare!
I literally just googled MMI practice questions and tons come up! Most of them seem medical based, like 'this woman has a terminal illness but only wants to use alternative medicine, have a conversation with her' ... I am hoping ours are more speech based

I am nervous about the MMI process too! All of the practice questions online are so ethics-based, it's hard to think of the right answer on the spot

Hey guys!
Congrats to everyone who got an interview at Mac and accepted at UofA!
I am currently in my first year of the Western SLP program, but also got accepted at Mac last year so thought I'd give some advice about the MMI (the best I can without breaking the confidentiality agreement!) because I know it is super nerve wracking
The best thing I did to prepare was practice answering example questions from online searches in the exact format the MMI was going to be in. So I would get a friend to wait in a room, give myself 2 minutes to review the question, and go in there and talk about it! Most of the questions are scenario based, so there isn't really a way to study for it other than practicing! Just be confident in the stand you take on the situation, and you will do great!
Good luck to everyone, and can't wait to meet some of you at Western next year!
