  1. MIT BCS emails are going out. I've been waitlisted. Here's to hoping those who intend to decline do so quickly!
  2. Results could be sent out as early as next week & no later than mid-March. I'll be there!
  3. From the Stanford Neuroscience program director, Dr. Ricci: "At this point if you have not received an interview request than you were not selected to this group. I want to stress that this year in particular we have a very difficult task with ~640 applicants for 8 slots. The selection process is quite complex and you should not take this as negatively as it really is about the best fit. This is the hardest part of the job as there are many outstanding candidates that we just don't have the bandwidth to bring in." The above is from email correspondence @ noon today
  4. Interview from UCLA by email. I officially have no idea what's going on. Every expectation for this application cycle has been violated. Anyone know when Stanford's interview dates are? edit: never mind. March 1-5 is their interview session.
  5. Also received a formal rejection from UCSF via email.
  6. Hey everyone! UCSD grad (Cog Sci Neuro), feeling the burn like everyone else. Got a phone call interview invitation from MIT BCS back on 12/9, which felt like a great sign. Then nothing for a while, followed by a rejection from UCSD on 12/27. my list: - Stanford Neurosciences - UCSF Neurograd - UCSF Tetrad - Berkeley Helen Wills - UCLA NSIDP - UCSD Neurosciences (rejected 12/27) - MIT BCS (invited 12/9 via phone call) - NYU Neural Science - Columbia Neurobiology and Behavior - U Washington Neurosciences It seems like Stanford hasn't done anything yet, but UCLA, UCSF, and UCSD are mostly sent? What about Berkeley? Columbia? UW? NYU? Those seem to mostly be professors making individual calls at this point - is that right? Finally, do we know anything about # of invitations vs. # of admission offers for MIT BCS in previous years? Best of luck to each of you. I hope you are having better luck with managing your stress than I am! cheers.
