  1. Horb, are you applying for a grant in the same country as a previous award? Just curious
  2. -doublepost deleted- Sorry guys! Don't know why it posted twice.
  3. Previous years' forums (and the handy dandy Google Doc of Doom) list averages. It's usually before close of business! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1AlU2xDiiVhQjK3quPy6qXJuhgXYghzzG8L4YNT0unX0/edit#gid=578086360
  4. Hobakie, are you a 2nd timer for the CLS? Pretty cool considering how much you seem to know about the process I also agree it might still be tomorrow; as in, to simply notify applicants via email whether they've moved on to Round 2 or not, but also to specifically freeze the application service to both keep panicked or disappointed applicants out of the tool and also to reset whatever needs to be done; but this is just conjecture on my end at least.
  5. Goodness, didn't even catch my "hopeing" type earlier, my bad. I'm shooting for research; Japan doesn't offer ETAs (likely because there is a robust English program in JET already)!
  6. I would assume that the Fulbright Commission is well aware of the MLK holiday; I doubt they would boldly post such a specific date to their reviewer's guide if they weren't! Additionally, I figure they would also consider students' feelings (from my own understanding being on the reviewer's side for things). Imagine getting dropped out of the running today and having to cope with the rejection over, say, a pre-planned vacation... Maybe they're letting us have our holiday before breaking the news?
  7. Currently stalking both this forum and the Fulbright -- both to Japan. @okazu, here's hopeing we see each other in the summer! But also -- seconded. I can't see the rubric.
  8. Found the exact place I got this, it was actually in the 2016-2017 thread: If you follow dosto's link and poke around those subsequent webpages, then you can find the link I posted.
  9. Like I said earlier, someone posted this link to this thread earlier! I think in pages 1-4 or something. I tried to find it before posting, but it was taking too much time to find the exact page.
  10. Hi all -- new here! But I caught something from a link posted somewhere in this thread -- not only does it say mid-Jan, this site actually tells us what day they're shooting for. Hit the link and scroll down, or see below: Sequence of Notification By January 17, 2017: IIE will notify all applicants as to whether or not they have been recommended as semi-finalists for final review in the host country.
