Thank you all!! YES! IT IS WARM. HUUUUUGE factor. I'm in New York so its a 10-15 degree difference on average. I visited the campus a few weekends ago and really liked it there. I accepted their offer I sincerely wish everyone the best of luck with their applications.

I just heard back from Hopkins today! Off the waitlist! I was first on their list, so perhaps that's why I heard before April 15?? In any case, THERE IS HOPE!!!

I also received a SBS acceptance today! Congrats to all the acceptances and those waitlisted!

I'm still waiting on word about funding from most places. Is this true for others? I personally won't have additional support and, other than additional jobs, won't be able to supplement money to fill in any gaps. It's going to boil down to if I can afford to living in the respective city with the money offered, and what continued funding is dependent upon.

I'm PHS-Epi (ID-Track) and just got the same email as the group above 'check your status.' Such a painful process with logging in and clicking the link. Hands shaking =four or five wrong passwords.

I had to pace around my desk for a second, but I'm on the waitlist. At least I know it's not a flat out "no" just yet lol. Hopefully you guys all hear soon!

Hi, everyone! First post this year.
I applied to Stanford, Berkeley, UCSF, WashU, UCLA, and Oregon State  Got interviews for UCLA, Stanford, UCSF, and OSU so far. Accepted into OSU and WashU, UCSF, and an unofficial yes from UCLA POI. Since I'm seeing some folks get rejections and worrying about silence from schools, I wanted to share to anyone interested where I was last year. As you can see from my profile name, I applied last year for the Fall 2016 cycle, to pretty much all the same schools as this year (replace Stanford with UMich). I got interviews at Michigan but ultimately was rejected from there and each of the other schools. It was a HUGE bummer.
Don't worry this cycle is definitely not over for those of you who haven't been accepted somewhere yet! You can find out all they way in April.
But if you DO get rejected from all the schools you applied to, like I did last year, please know that things can turn around. I tried again, and have heard good things from every school except Berkeley which is radio silence (and I didn't have a good research fit there). WashU is my dream school and I got in on the second try. Y'all can too. Last Spring I met with someone I would have loved to work with at one of the schools and asked what I could have done differently. I changed those things, and voila! Get feedback, talk to people, you got this.
Stay positive! No rejection is a death sentence!

So I've emailed CUNY, NYU, UCLA, Hopkins, Harvard and Pitt and they've all either said that admissions decisions will be made by late February to early March or to wait for an email notification. Guess that means no freaking out until mid March...

Yes. And I sincerely hope everybody views that as devastating, not a competitive advantage.

Admitted to which track? SBS? I'm not sure.  I applied for nutrition.
Maybe it's also possible that interviews are only to seek clarifications on parts of your application, and thus not everybody would have to do one? So you may still be under consideration. I wouldn't rule anything out until you officially hear back. Maybe email them and ask?
