  1. I troll in me says between 8am and 5pm. Although more realistically speaking, I accept them more around the early afternoon. So between 2 to 4 pm.
  2. Congratulations. You're rocking it this cycle.
  3. As long as nobody claims it,
  4. Yes, spam mail is deleted within minutes. If only my office would be as clean as that mailbox ...
  5. I think those will take another while. It may be told by me, however that does not mean that I believe it for myself. My inner self is like: you're stupid, you won't get in anywhere, etc.
  6. No, but acceptances were sent out last week and you have to reply until this Friday to book everything for the open house.
  7. Yes, I feel you.
  8. I'm not counting Berkeley as a rejection - yet. I simply do not have enough information to do that. They still may reach out today (but that may take them another couple of hours). So far, only Northwestern and Princeton are rejections in my book.
  9. That's the best way to spend your time.
  10. I have to wait for another 11. However, I expect rejections from 7 of those. The others are toss-ups, at least in my book. Princeton was on my list but not a really good fit. Having somebody on the inside, and therefore "knowing" how far Princeton was in its adcom meetings helped. I would have preferred an acceptance though :/
  11. Talked to my supervisor. Supervisor: "You just have to be patient. It will all work out." Me: "Yes." Other Me: "I WANT RESULTS!!! I NEED TO KNOW!!!!! NOW!!!!!"
  12. Ah I found it. Thanks, figured it out. Just forgot about it.
  13. Ehm ... what website? :|
  14. You got a response from Duke?
  15. Yeah, that's the spirit ... I would have preferred an acceptance though ...
  16. All princeton emails are sent. If you havent heard from the DGS yet, you and I share the same fate. Sorry!
  17. I have somebody on the inside (well, in the department as a student). Yesterday's comment was based on previous years and made a "most likely" scenario based on that. That definitely entailed not to hear from Princeton for about a week.
  18. He's still emailing, it could be late afternoon before Princeton DGS finishes with the emails. But given the pace he has, I assume he'll be faster.
  19. Then yield your fist threateningly at the screen and curse those people. After that: get a headstart and work on the paper for which you created (wanted to create) the dataset. Lastly, email those people to get access to their dataset already and publish your paper.
  20. To everybody who got rejected from UCSD: stay strong, the cycle is still long and you'll get a good program to go to. You should be happy that you don't have to do the work. And angry (if you planned to publish it) that they took "your" dataset idea. Look on the bright side, you can run the regressions now and don't have to build the dataset.
  21. Congrats, you're on fire! May this cycle continue in the same way!
  22. As far as I know, Princeton does not send out their acceptances for about another week. Hence,
  23. It is, but I am advising against forgoing certain admission in a good program for the chance of getting into a better program next year. Because who says you are going to get in? Who even says you get in the same program twice? So, forgoing an acceptance for a good program this year for the chance(!!!) of getting in a better (?!) program next year, is - at least in my book, not worth it.
  24. I think you're right. Especially since you have already been accepted into a good program - so why would you wait? On the off-chance that an even better program might except you? Not really worth it, I think.
  25. Strange, I have the same feeling.
