Is the other acceptance from Temple around here somewhere? I did the same thing you did - checked the website and saw my status changed to accepted - any email or phone call yet?

Lol. This was totally about the UVA update good catch (and congrats!). But I've seen it on quite a few different results here and there and I just didn't know what the deal was with it. Good to know I'm not living in some sort of horrifying, fluctuating time zone.

When people post on the results page and date it a day later (so for instance it's 8pm Feb 15th, but there are results posted that are dated as Feb 16th already) - is that some sort of crazy time difference or typo or what?

Really? What did y'alls say? Just stuff about TA interviews?

Yeah I'm the most recent one. And yeah I got the same thing as everyone else. An email saying congrats on your acceptance but fill out the TA application to hear about funding. Not an official acceptance I guess just an email from Dr. Nadkarni: "I'm writing to congratulate you on your acceptance into the Mass English Department graduate Program. The admissions committee was very impressed etc etc etc."

Wait listed at UT Knoxville last week and this morning I found my first acceptance from UMass!! Anyone else hear from them?

Finally my first acceptance to UMass! Got wait listed previously at UT Knoxville. Still waiting on 10 more schools!

Did my undergrad at UA. If you can live somewhere off the strip in the Reed Street area or in the shadow of the stadium (there are some super cheap options and some nicer places for rent so there's a variety) that's a great locale - walk to campus and all that the strip has to offer. Don't bother with anything on McFarland cause I'm telling you you're not making that trek. Point-O-View on Jack Warner is where I lived and you can easily bike to campus, but walking may take a sec. Although you can walk to the bus stop at Campus Way so no problem there. And of course Campus Way, which you get what you pay for it's not so bad and it's easily a bike ride to campus, parking, and the buses.

Does anything ever really go out over the weekends? I assume that most emails/phones/website updates come during normal M-F business hours? Anybody know otherwise? (In other words, I can give my dangerously elevated heart rate a rest over the weekends and look to Monday for the latest adrenaline spike?)

Has anyone compiled a list of any other English PhD programs to add to this one? How did you come by this one? Is this information available on websites or do you know from experience/others' experiences? Thanks for putting this together by the way
