I applied for the dissertation fellowship and was placed as an alternate. The review portal said that 36 fellowships were awarded out of 534 applicants. In case anyone knows any stats from the past, how long is the alternate list for the dissertation fellowship typically and what is the success rate?

Hello everyone, UCLA prospective grad student here. I have asked a few current students in my department about the funding situation and it seems that after tax, students generally make 27k for 12 months. Any tips/advices on whether this is an okay amount and how to budget wisely?

Hello everyone, I just received my acceptance to UC Davis today. Pretty excited! I have been offered $20k for 9 months TAship and about 5k for summer. I am guessing that this thread gets this question a lot but since housing prices fluctuate quite a bit, I was wondering if you think that my stipend amount is reasonable.
