Hi. I am in the erasmus mundus MER program. If you can afford the costs then I suggest you should go for it. My non-EU classmates where able to secure waiver and grants during our first semester. If you are ranked well, close to the cut-off, then there is still a possibility of being awarded a scholarship. Usually, some of the selected applicants will be accepted in multiple programs.

GLOBED 2017-2019 (Or other Erasmus Mundus Programs)
nautilus90 replied to moates2013's topic in Waiting it Out
@Firlim No, I think its the same as MER. 8 for CAT A, 2 for CAT B and all the 14 Geographical Window they nominated were confirmed by EACEA. That guy was even ranked 31st but he said that most of the guys ahead of him dropout.- 49 replies

GLOBED 2017-2019 (Or other Erasmus Mundus Programs)
nautilus90 replied to moates2013's topic in Waiting it Out
@Firlim Well, I'm keeping my hopes up and I'm a little confident with my overall score. I tried to email our coordinator asking for my ranking so I'll know how did I fare among all applicants but as of the moment they cant disclose it until EACEA confirmation. Which Geographical Window were you selected? I read in other forums that last year EACEA gave more than 5 Geographical Window Scholarships. For ACES alone, they gave 24 scholarships. Lets just hope for the best.- 49 replies

@catling Thats great! Congratulations again. Geographical window slots are additional scholarships and as far as I know they get the same benefits as Category A scholars.- 49 replies

@catling First time i hear about LCT. Is it like the Geographical window? Not part of the guaranteed main list selected and will depend on EACEA approval? @LibbyCreek Their application portal also looks good and well organized. Yes, Thanks! No results yet from your applied programs?- 49 replies

Wow. Congratulations! Anyone got their initial results? Got mine (MER) and nominated for scholarship under the Geographical Window but they emphasized that it depends on EACEA approval. The only guaranteed that will get the scholarship are the ones in the main list.- 49 replies
