  1. I applied to the program that requires a BSW for entry and is online starting in May Here is where I found the admissions decision: When I logged into my account there is the option to press "admissions", so I clicked that, then clicked "display admissions applications", then clicked the "Master of Social Work" link there and it opened a page where it informed me I had not been accepted.
  2. Thank you, I appreciate it! I did recently accept a full-time position in the field and so I am happy about that, hoping to re-apply again in the future! I am not sure how to post a screenshot here, but when I logged into my account there is the option to press "admissions", so I clicked that, then clicked "display admissions applications", then clicked the "Master of Social Work" link there and it opened a page where it informed me I had not been accepted. If it doesn't say anything yet, then I'm not too sure - you may not have received anything yet. My fingers are crossed for you!! all the best.
  3. I didn't get an email (and still haven't) but I logged into my LORIS a few days ago and checked there, and it was available under admissions and once I clicked into the MSW link. I unfortunately did not get in (however I don't mean to scare you)! You just may not have gotten an email yet, so I suggest checking there I applied to the advanced standing program.
  4. I noticed this as well when I logged in today! This was not in my account before either.
  5. Hi everyone! I am so glad to see this group as it definitely helps me keep calm as we wait to hear back. I am starting my last year of my BSW, and also have a BA in Child Studies. I have worked at a CAS for the past two summers, and also have two years' experience in crisis response, facilitating a grief/bereavement support group, sitting on the board of directors for a local agency, and mentoring children. I have already applied to the Laurier online MSW program starting in May 2019. I also plan to apply to King's and Waterloo. Where is everyone applying to? Wishing you all the best of luck!!
  6. Hi Dazed_n_confused99! I've been wondering the same thing; I want to ensure I'm on the right track in terms of experience as well! Personally, this past year I have volunteered in crisis response with my local Victim Services organization. I also am a Bereavement Support Group facilitator at my local hospice, a mentor with Big Brothers/Big Sisters, and am on the Board of Directors with a local agency! I also have completed some other workshops/volunteer experiences. What schools have you applied to?! I wish you the best of luck and hopefully we all hear back soon!
  7. Hi there! I also applied to UVic (for September entry), Calgary and Dalhousie! I graduated with a BA in Child & Youth Studies and so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.. hoping to hear from UVic soon!! I live in Ontario and applied to a couple schools last year but got rejected. I didn't have enough experience (volunteer/work) so I did a lot of that in this last year. Just curious, what type of volunteer/work experience did you have? Would love to hear from anyone!
  8. I have!! I agree, hopefully the next few months fly by. What does your status say? Mine said sent to department but now it's back to "under review".
