Hey Nostromo, congratulations on CSULA! I feel like we're kind of in the same boat , i'm a UCI psych grad, 3.7 GPA, a little clinical experience as well, and I also applied to CSULB a few days before the deadline haha. I called them about 2 week ago and they told me the same thing about 8 weeks, but that would have meant we would have heard a week ago from them so i'm not entirely sure when we'll hear back unfortunately. As far as the programs go CSULA's program technically is ranked #64 on USNews and CSULB is ranked #78, not that big of a difference but I believe CSULB is more impacted and more applied to and i have no idea experience-wise but i'm sure whatever you chose will be a good choice!

hey everyone, I too am waiting anxiously for any word from Long Beach. I literally applied days before the deadline, i think Jan. 12, so I'm sure I'll be hearing way later in the next few months. I keep checking the check my application status link and it keeps saying that my app was sent to the program for review. I called this morning to see if there was any way to know time frame wise when I would hear anything and I got the same response of 8 weeks after I applied. That would be next week though and I've heard people getting responses way later than that, but lets hope. The only other school I applied to is Azusa Pacific and I got accepted last week. My issue is that they are only giving me until March 10th to accept. I don't mind accepting their offer, but CSULB is my first choice so it's disheartening to think I may not know until July when I would be halfway done with preparing for Azusa.
