  1. I was accepted today for the MA in Jewish Studies with a partial scholarship, so I may very well end up there.
  2. Hope to see you and others at the department! (:
  3. Not sure if it helps, but I received my MPhil offer from SIAS via the January deadline and I know others who had their application moved to the March deadline, so you aren't alone by any means.
  4. Hmmm, that's an interesting perspective, as I find that outside HYP, Stanford and maybe MIT, Oxbridge has the next biggest "wow" factor among people and academics. Also, I'm an American too but I got accepted for an MPhil.
  5. Thanks for the response! Very nervous for tomorrow, but at least I have Oxford in my back-pocket.
  6. Anyone knows the typical admission rate for Yale's MARc program?
  7. Just to further ease your concerns, I was accepted with only two of my letters submitted, but I don't know if that's because my two letters were incredibly strong, or they respected my academic record enough to bypass the third letter requirement. It sounds like you are a very impressive candidate overall, and I would imagine it's more likely you are offered a place versus being rejected, but the competitiveness of your program might also play a role as well.
  8. Anyone else who applied to YDS anxious for tomorrow?
  9. As someone who has an acceptance from the department of Area Studies (which is partially involved with your course), I can assure you that typos will not be a factor in being potentially rejected. My CV was utter and complete trash, and I had to rely solely on my academic merit and a very strong letter from a professor who was a Rhodes Scholar many years ago.
  10. Accepted to the MPhil program for Russian and East European studies. In addition, I was allocated to St Antnony's College, which is apparently the very best college for area studies, so I'm pretty stoked overall!
