Hmmm, that's an interesting perspective, as I find that outside HYP, Stanford and maybe MIT, Oxbridge has the next biggest "wow" factor among people and academics. Also, I'm an American too but I got accepted for an MPhil.

Just to further ease your concerns, I was accepted with only two of my letters submitted, but I don't know if that's because my two letters were incredibly strong, or they respected my academic record enough to bypass the third letter requirement.

It sounds like you are a very impressive candidate overall, and I would imagine it's more likely you are offered a place versus being rejected, but the competitiveness of your program might also play a role as well.

As someone who has an acceptance from the department of Area Studies (which is partially involved with your course), I can assure you that typos will not be a factor in being potentially rejected. My CV was utter and complete trash, and I had to rely solely on my academic merit and a very strong letter from a professor who was a Rhodes Scholar many years ago.

Accepted to the MPhil program for Russian and East European studies. In addition, I was allocated to St Antnony's College, which is apparently the very best college for area studies, so I'm pretty stoked overall!

Overall, YDS has about a 45% acceptance rate. This fluctuates year to year but their MARc program generally is somewhere around 25-30%.
It's skewed because the M.Div program has a higher percentage. When YDS gives acceptance rates they release a median rate across all programs, which isn't that helpful.

Seth101793 - I am about 99% confident that YDS will send out decisions on March 15th. It looks like they already made the decisions and have to officially send them out to students. Fingers crossed and best of luck for all of us!

Nice, mine is 3.92, but I've not heard back yet. I applied to the Late Antique and Byzantine Studies program (MSt). Hopefully I hear back soon. I love Oxford and would love to attend.
You should be fine. Although, Oxford is very competitive, and you might be waitlisted. A rejection is also possible, but unlikely as long as you had excellent letters of recommendation and writing samples. I don't think they would care much about the mistakes, but they may think that you are not very professional. Good luck!
